A Summerlin App With a Written Scope

Mobile app development Summerlin founders hire me for starts with a one-page scope: the screens, the tasks each user must finish, the store steps and the launch date, all agreed before the build.

Why Summerlin App Budgets Drift

A cost that kept moving

Most app budgets that go wrong drift the same way. The first quote leaves out the store steps, the login flow and the connections to the systems the business already runs. Each gap arrives as a change request, progress is hard to see, and the vendor disappears once the app is live.

Summerlin makes the scope matter more. It is a master-planned community of about 130,000 people, not a city, with an office corridor and a medical cluster around Town Center. A founder there is often building for customers who already know the name of a practice or a firm, and they expect the app to match it.

What I do in Summerlin

I scope apps in person at a Summerlin office when that helps, with the screens, the store steps and the first release written down before any build starts. Summerlin covers about 22,500 acres and three master associations, so a founder's first users may sit miles apart, and the scope names where they are.

Summerlin Hospital Medical Center is a 485-bed acute care hospital at 657 Town Center Drive. A practice near that corridor that wants intake, booking and reminders on the patient's own phone has to fit how patients book, not how a developer prefers to build. I have not built a phone app for a Summerlin business that I can show.

Who I work with

Founders of a consumer product, service businesses that want intake and booking on the customer's phone, teams that work in the field, and businesses with a working website that want the same tasks on a phone. Each starts with a different first version, and the scope says which one.

Work I built, none of it an app

Every build below is real and every link goes to the live work. None of the five is a Summerlin app or a Summerlin business. GIOSTAR is a Henderson clinic website I built and still run, WebVegas is my Las Vegas brand site, and the other three are brand and content work. Each card says what it was.

GIOSTAR: the clinic website, booking and lead tracking

I built and run giostarwellness.com for a regenerative medicine and wellness clinic in Henderson: every service page, online booking, financing and a blog. A website lead is tracked end to end, from the form to a booked consult to an active patient, with no manual steps. I also built its live brand hub, so every page, post and print piece pulls the same colours, type and rules.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

He was always the first one in the office, setting the tone with his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. What stood out most was how deeply he cared about every client. He approached each project with thoughtfulness, expertise, and a genuine drive to deliver meaningful results. From what I've seen, Justin knows the AI automation space better than most people I've come across in Las Vegas. He's the kind of person who actually understands the technical side and can explain it without making you feel lost. Good guy, good reputation.

I've Known Justin for a while now and he really knows his stuff when it comes to AI consulting. If people in Las Vegas were to ask me for recommendations in this space, he's the best guy for the job, hands down.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we reached out to Justin for some AI consulting advice on where our service business could actually use automation. He was straightforward about what made sense and what didn't. Ended up being a useful conversation. Las Vegas has no shortage of people claiming to be experts, and he's one of the few who could back it up.

Known Justin for a few years now. Guy knows the AI space better than most people I've come across, especially here in Las Vegas where there's no shortage of people claiming to be experts. He actually understands how AI automation works at a practical level, not just the theory. The kind of person who gives you a straight answer with kindness and patience

Knew Justin before he started building AI systems for businesses, and watching what he's put together is genuinely impressive. He built out an AI automation setup for my website in Las Vegas and it changed how we handle leads completely. The guy actually runs this stuff himself, so he knows what works.

Mobile App Development Services Summerlin

How a build runs

1. Write the scope

The screens, the tasks each user must finish, the permissions, the connections and the launch date on one page.

2. Build the screens

Each task gets a screen path and a test, and you see working screens before the back end is finished.

3. Test on real phones

iPhones and Android phones run every task, from sign-up to the final confirmation, with the phone locked and interrupted.

4. Submit and launch

I prepare the store steps, check the review notes against the app and hand the release plan over before anything is sent.

Mobile App Development 89134

Summerlin ZIP codes I serve

Four ZIP codes are mostly Summerlin: 89134, 89135, 89138 and 89144. Four more overlap it: 89128, 89145, 89148 and 89161.

The community has no ZIP-defined boundary, so these are the places I take a call from. I do not claim an office in any of them.

What a Phone App Includes

Screens, records and store steps

  1. Step 01

    Screens and tasks

Every screen a customer or staff member needs, with the task each one must finish written beside it.

  2. Step 02

    Records and back end

The data that holds bookings, orders or intake records, and who can see each part of it.

  3. Step 03

    Connections

Links to the calendar, payment, email or booking tools the business already uses, each named in the scope.

  4. Step 04

    Store review and release

Privacy answers, login notes and screenshots matched to the app before each submission.

Mobile App Testing Summerlin

Tests on the phones customers carry

A simulator is useful for early work, but it does not show how a button feels under a thumb or how a keyboard covers a form. Each task in the scope runs on real phones, with a line in a shared list for the phone model, the operating system version, the result and the fix.

A failed test stays on the list until it passes. You read that list before a release, so you know what was tested and what was left out.

A storefront street in the Valley

App Store Review Summerlin

Getting both stores to approve

Both stores review each release, and most rejections are known in advance: a privacy answer that does not match the app, a login a reviewer cannot use, screenshots that show the wrong screens or a permission with no clear reason. Each one is checked before a submission leaves my hands.

The release plan lists the items each store needs, who completes each one and when it is due. Approval is the store's decision, and the plan shows only what I can control before a submission.

Mobile App Cost Summerlin

What moves the price

I quote a fixed price for the written scope, so the number you agree to is the number you pay. A change you ask for later gets its own short line in the scope. These are the things that move it:

An owner at work in a modern office
  • How many screens and user roles the first version has
  • Which connections to other systems the app needs
  • Whether the app runs on both phone systems or one
  • How much of the store work the founder takes on
  • Whether a website already holds the data the app will use

Mobile App Scope Summerlin

A written scope before any build

The scope is one page. It lists the screens, the tasks, the permissions, the connections, the store steps and the launch date. If a quote arrives without those items, ask for them before you sign, since the missing items are where most app budgets change.
