Hair Salon Advertising

Ads that show who rebooks

Hair salon advertising should fill open chairs and show which promotions brought clients back. I plan the social, search and local ads, write the creative with the salon's consent rules, and report each offer by new bookings and rebooking.

Advertising for a salon's calendar

Fill the open chairs first

The cost of an empty chair is the appointment that never got booked. Advertising for a salon works best when it is aimed at the days and services that have open time, rather than at the whole menu at once. A Tuesday afternoon with two empty chairs needs a different offer from a Saturday that is already full.

Owners tell me their slow days first, and the plan starts there. Each promotion has a named service, a named window and a booking link that goes to the right page, so the result can be read against that exact slot of the calendar.

A business owner reviewing work on a phone

Local promotions with a rebooking view

Offers that measure the return visit

A promotion that brings in a first visit is only half of the result. The other half is whether that client books again, and whether the offer trained them to wait for the next promotion before returning. Every local offer is reported on two numbers: first bookings and the share of those clients who rebooked within the normal cycle for the service.

If an offer brings many first visits and almost no return visits, it is working as an introduction and not as a business builder. I say so in the readout, and I suggest a different next step, such as a reminder sequence or a stylist-led booking offer.

GIOSTAR homepage, a website I built

Social ads for salons

Visual ads for visual services

Hair work is visual, so social ads can show real results from the salon's own chairs. Each ad needs a clear service, a stylist who has agreed to be shown, and one next step that is easy to take on a phone. Ads that show only a logo and a discount rarely tell a client what the appointment will be like.

I test a small set of creative at a time and keep the ones that bring booking clicks, not only likes. Creative that shows a result is written with the consent records kept with the ad.

A storefront street in the Valley

Search ads for salon services

Paid search for service words

Search ads for salons bid on the words clients type when they want a specific service in a specific area: a color appointment, a bridal updo, a men's cut near a neighborhood. Each ad group should match one service, with a landing page that answers the question and a booking button.

I review the search terms every week. Words that bring in browsers who never book are removed, and words that produce bookings get more room in the budget.

Creative rules for salon ads

Claims that need a second look

Before and after photos, claims about results, and statements about hair or skin health all need the stylist's written consent and a check against your state board's rules before an ad runs. Ad platforms also have their own rules for beauty and health claims, and those change.

I write for the client's real questions and mark every claim that needs review. I do not tell you an ad is compliant, and the approval record stays with the campaign.

An owner at work in a modern office

Promotions that do not train waiting

Offers that build the habit

A salon that discounts every month teaches its clients to wait for the discount. Offers work better when they reward a return visit, a new service or a stylist's first booking, and when the reason is written in the salon's own words. I plan the offer calendar so the regulars are rewarded, not only the new clients.

GIOSTAR brand hub, a system I built

Advertising readout for a salon

One page the owner can read

The readout is one page, each row with the place you can check it yourself. It separates new clients from returning clients, because they respond to different ads.

GIOSTAR: the clinic website, booking and lead tracking

I built and run giostarwellness.com for a regenerative medicine and wellness clinic in Henderson: every service page, online booking, financing and a blog. A website lead is tracked end to end, from the form to a booked consult to an active patient, with no manual steps. I also built its live brand hub, so every page, post and print piece pulls the same colours, type and rules.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

From what I've seen, Justin knows the AI automation space better than most people I've come across in Las Vegas. He's the kind of person who actually understands the technical side and can explain it without making you feel lost. Good guy, good reputation.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we reached out to Justin for some AI consulting advice on where our service business could actually use automation. He was straightforward about what made sense and what didn't. Ended up being a useful conversation. Las Vegas has no shortage of people claiming to be experts, and he's one of the few who could back it up.

Known Justin for a few years now. Guy knows the AI space better than most people I've come across, especially here in Las Vegas where there's no shortage of people claiming to be experts. He actually understands how AI automation works at a practical level, not just the theory. The kind of person who gives you a straight answer with kindness and patience

Knew Justin before he started building AI systems for businesses, and watching what he's put together is genuinely impressive. He built out an AI automation setup for my website in Las Vegas and it changed how we handle leads completely. The guy actually runs this stuff himself, so he knows what works.

Closest work and what it was not

Adjacent work, stated plainly

I have not run paid advertising for a hair salon, so I do not claim results for one. The nearest work I have is GIOSTAR, a Henderson wellness clinic where I built the website, the booking path and the lead tracking that follows a form to a booked consult. A clinic's ads run under different rules than a salon's, and the offers are not the same.

What carries over is the method: a named offer, a booking link that goes to the right page and a readout that separates first visits from return visits.

How I work with a salon outside Las Vegas

Remote work with the same readout

I work from Las Vegas and serve salons in other cities and states over calls and a shared project page. The ads, the tracking and the readout work the same way wherever the salon is. What changes is the local detail: the neighborhoods, the stylists and the booking hours each salon uses, which I learn from the owner rather than guess.
