AI Data Analytics

Numbers you can trace to a source

AI data analytics turns the records a business already keeps into answers, and each answer links back to the rows it came from. I build the connection, the checks and the dashboard so a number can be opened and questioned.

Data Analytics Consulting

What I connect and check

Analytics fails at the joins and the definitions long before it fails at the chart. I work on those first, then the dashboard.

Source inventory

Every system, export and spreadsheet that holds a number the business relies on, with its owner and its refresh date.

Shared definitions

A written meaning for each metric, such as what counts as a lead, a booked job or an active client.

Connection and joins

The links between systems, built so a record in one place matches the same record in another.

Automated checks

Tests that flag missing values, duplicate records and totals that do not match the source.

Traceable dashboard

Each number opens to the rows, the date and the rule that produced it.

Written reading guide

A short note on what each number means, what it does not mean and when it was last checked.

Why Dashboards Mislead

A dashboard nobody can trace

Many owners have a dashboard that looks authoritative and cannot be explained. A total changes overnight and nobody knows whether a record was added, removed or double counted. The team stops trusting the chart, and the one person who understands the export becomes the bottleneck for every decision.

AI makes this worse when it is added on top of a messy source. A fluent answer can sound right and still be built on a duplicate. The honest move is to make every answer traceable before it is trusted.

What Trustworthy Numbers Need

A source, a rule and a date

Every number in the dashboard I build has three things attached: the source rows, the rule that counts them and the date of the last successful refresh. If a number cannot show all three, it is labeled as unverified rather than shown as fact.

Chart to Source Traceability

How each chart answers for itself

The table shows what a traceable chart carries, so an owner or an accountant can check it without asking me.

Data and Tracking Portfolio

Work I built, labeled for what it was

Each card says what the work was. GIOSTAR is the clearest example of traced data: each website lead is followed from the form to a booked consult to an active patient. The other four are brand and social work, and none of them is a data platform.

GIOSTAR: the clinic website, booking and lead tracking

I built and run giostarwellness.com for a regenerative medicine and wellness clinic in Henderson: every service page, online booking, financing and a blog. A website lead is tracked end to end, from the form to a booked consult to an active patient, with no manual steps. I also built its live brand hub, so every page, post and print piece pulls the same colours, type and rules.

AI Data Analysis Tools

Tools chosen after the question

I pick the analysis tool after the question and the source are clear, so the tool serves the answer. These pages cover adjacent work I do.

Where Analytics Projects Stall

The question nobody wrote down

Most analytics projects begin with a request for a dashboard and no written question. Without the question, the build gets a dozen metrics, none of which are defined. I start by writing the three questions the owner needs answered each month, then I trace each one to its source before any chart is drawn.

WebVegas homepage, a website I built

How an Analytics Build Runs

Five steps from question to reading

The build follows the same order each time, and each step ends in a written artifact.

  1. Step 01

    Question

I write the questions the dashboard must answer and the decisions that depend on them.

  2. Step 02

    Inventory

I list every source behind those questions, with its owner and the last time it was checked.

  3. Step 03

    Define

I write one definition per metric and get the owner to sign off on the wording.

  4. Step 04

    Build and check

I build the connection and the checks, then compare the totals against the source export.

  5. Step 05

    Read

I walk the owner through the reading guide and leave the trace path where they can open it.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we reached out to Justin for some AI consulting advice on where our service business could actually use automation. He was straightforward about what made sense and what didn't. Ended up being a useful conversation. Knew Justin before he started building AI systems for businesses, and watching what he's put together is genuinely impressive. He built out an AI automation setup for my website in Las Vegas and it changed how we handle leads completely. The guy actually runs this stuff himself, so he knows what works.

Data Analytics Cost Drivers

What the scope prices

I quote a fixed price for a written scope after a free look at the questions and the sources, so the cost is known before the connection work starts. Messy data costs more to trust than clean data, and the scope says which one you have. These are the things that move the scope.

An owner at work in a modern office
  • How many source systems feed the answers
  • How many metrics need a written definition
  • How much cleaning the records need first
  • Automated checks and their alerts
