What the search work covers

Dispensary search work has three parts. The store's listings and map profile answer the nearby search. The store website, with its menu pages, answers the product search. The local pages and reviews tell search engines the store is real and open. Each part serves a different customer, so each one gets its own work and its own measure.

I start with the listings, because a wrong hour or an old phone number costs visits every day. Then I build the menu and store pages so the current products, hours and location are clear to a customer on a phone and readable to search engines.

Dispensary SEO Cost

What moves the price

I quote a fixed price for a written scope after the audit, so the number you agree to is the number you pay. A single store with an accurate listing and a small menu needs a different job from a multi-location group with separate menus per store.

WebVegas homepage, a website I built
  • How many locations need their own store page and listing
  • How often the menu changes and who updates it
  • Listing cleanup across directories that carry old information
  • Platform limits on the store's website and menu tools
  • Reporting that has to match the store's visit and order records

How to judge a dispensary SEO provider

Owners who look for the best dispensary SEO in Las Vegas are often comparing a cannabis marketing agency, a general SEO firm and a directory service. The useful test is whether the provider can show the store pages it changed, the searches those pages answer and the visits or orders that followed.

Dispensary Menu Pages for Local Search

Menus a customer can read

A customer searching for a product near them wants to see the current menu, the store hours and the address before leaving home. The menu page should load quickly on a phone, list products the store actually carries and say what changed since the last visit.

Menu content changes often, so I set up the process before the first change: who updates the menu, how often the page is checked and where the store's point-of-sale data should feed the page, if the platform allows it.

Dispensary Google Business Profile

The first answer to a nearby search

For most dispensary searches the map listing is the first thing a customer sees. The category, hours, photos, phone number and posts decide whether the customer taps through to the store page or moves on. Each store needs its own accurate profile.

I keep the profile consistent with the store page and the directories that copy it. A mismatch in the hours or the address sends mixed signals, and the cleanup is usually the fastest change in the local results.

How Dispensary Customers Search Locally

Customers search for a product type, a nearby store, a store name or a deal. Each of those searches needs a page that answers it. A store name search reaches the store page, a product search reaches the menu, and a nearby search reaches the map listing.

The searches also change with the season and the events in town. I plan the pages around the questions buyers actually ask, including the questions a first-time visitor has about where to go and what to bring.

Platform Limits on Dispensary Websites

Rules the site has to follow

Cannabis businesses face platform and state limits on advertising and on certain content. Search work stays inside those limits, and I check the platform's rules before a page or a listing goes live. Some tools and platforms restrict what a store can publish, and those limits shape the menu and store pages.

These are marketing considerations, not legal advice. Whether a page is compliant is the store's counsel's decision, and I do not certify a page as compliant.

Have You Worked With Cannabis Stores

The closest work I can show

I have not run search work for a licensed cannabis store, so I do not claim a dispensary case. The closest work I have is my own WebVegas site, which is a Las Vegas web design and SEO brand, not a dispensary.

The portfolio band above shows the five builds, and the reviews band shows what clients wrote. Neither is a dispensary search result.

Dispensary SEO Reporting

A readout in visits and orders

The monthly report shows the store pages and the menu pages that changed, the local visits and orders each page produced where the store's records allow, and the next pages to build. Every line ties to a visit, a call, an order or a change I made.

Rankings can move for reasons outside the work, so I do not lead the report with them. A page that did not bring in visits gets a change or a note, not a ranking headline.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

Dispensary SEO Process

How an engagement runs

Every engagement runs the same five steps, and each one ends with something you can open and check. The scope is written down before the work starts.

  1. Step 01

    Audit the listings and site

I review each store's listing, menu pages, site and tracking, and send a written read before you pay.

  2. Step 02

Set the rules and the pages

The platform and state limits are checked, then the store and menu pages are planned around the searches buyers make.

  3. Step 03

    Fix the listings first

Hours, categories and phone numbers are corrected across each listing and directory that carries them.

  4. Step 04

    Build and connect the pages

Store and menu pages are written, and each form, call and order path is tied to the page that produced it.

  5. Step 05

    Report monthly

One readout with the pages changed, the visits and orders by page where records allow, and the next pages to build.

Dispensary SEO Compliance Questions

Limits on what the store can say

Owners often ask what they can say about products, effects and prices online. The answer depends on the platform and the state, and it changes. I write to the limits the platform sets, avoid product effect claims and keep prices out of the search pages unless the rules and the platform allow them.

I do not write claims that a product treats a condition, and I leave questions about a specific claim to the store's counsel.
