Golf Course Advertising

Ads that fill the open tee times

Golf course advertising I build around the tee sheet, with daypart and twilight campaigns that move to open times and every booking tagged to the ad that produced it. You keep the ad accounts.

Why Golf Ads Miss Tee Times

Spend that fills no open slot

A golf ad that runs all week promotes the Saturday morning that is already full, and misses the Tuesday afternoon that sits open. The spend looks busy and the tee sheet does not move.

The wound is the same across most facilities: the owner pays for visibility and cannot see which bookings came from which campaign. Bookings arrive through a third-party tee-time platform, a phone line and a website, and each one is reported somewhere else.

What Golf Advertising Should Do

Fill the times the sheet leaves open

The job is to match each campaign to a window on the tee sheet that needs players. A twilight offer belongs to the hours that run empty. A weekday member guest offer belongs to the midweek lull. Everything else is noise.

So I start from the booking data, build campaigns around the open windows and tag each booking to the ad, page or channel that produced it.

Campaign Types for Golf Facilities

Campaigns built around the tee sheet

Each campaign names the window it fills and the page the player lands on. When that window fills, the campaign moves to the next one, and the change is written into the readout.

Twilight and off-peak campaigns

Offers for the hours with open tee times, switched off once those windows fill.

Search campaigns for tee time terms

Paid search for booking terms, sent to a page with the open windows and a booking button.

Membership and league campaigns

Campaigns for the membership or league offer, tagged so each sign-up names the ad behind it.

Retargeting for people who started a booking

Follow-up for visitors who opened the booking page, not everyone who read the site.

Offer tests with a named result

One offer at a time, tied to the bookings it should produce, and stopped if it does not.

Golf Ad Rules to Check

Platform and booking rules first

Advertising platforms set rules for promotions, alcohol mentions and the offers a business may make, and those rules change. Booking platforms have their own terms for how offers and rates appear. Before a campaign runs I check the current policies, write the copy to fit them and keep a record of approvals.

These are marketing considerations, not legal advice. Whether an offer, fee or disclosure is allowed is a question for your attorney, and I will not tell you that an ad is compliant.

  • Current platform policy checked before every launch
  • Rates and offers match the booking platform's terms
  • Each ad reviewed by the owner before it runs
  • A written record of approvals and changes

Closest Work and What It Is Not

No golf client claimed

I have not run paid advertising for a golf facility, and I do not claim tee-time or membership results in this trade. The closest work I have is brand work for Desert Inn Oasis, a Las Vegas event venue. That is a brand mark, not a golf facility, and I do not present it as golf advertising.

What carries over is the method: each campaign tied to a booking, with a readout the owner can check against the tee sheet.

Every build below is real and every link opens the live work. None of them is a golf facility, and I do not claim tee-time results from them. They show how I build brands, pages and tags, and keep the keys with the owner.

Desert Inn Oasis: the refined mark and the plan for the new site

For a Las Vegas event venue I redrew the Desert Inn Oasis lockup as clean vector letterforms and planned the new website from 735 competitor pages. The new site is in build now.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

From what I've seen, Justin knows the AI automation space better than most people I've come across in Las Vegas. He's the kind of person who actually understands the technical side and can explain it without making you feel lost. Good guy, good reputation.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we reached out to Justin for some AI consulting advice on where our service business could actually use automation. He was straightforward about what made sense and what didn't. Ended up being a useful conversation. Las Vegas has no shortage of people claiming to be experts, and he's one of the few who could back it up.

Known Justin for a few years now. Guy knows the AI space better than most people I've come across, especially here in Las Vegas where there's no shortage of people claiming to be experts. He actually understands how AI automation works at a practical level, not just the theory. The kind of person who gives you a straight answer with kindness and patience

Knew Justin before he started building AI systems for businesses, and watching what he's put together is genuinely impressive. He built out an AI automation setup for my website in Las Vegas and it changed how we handle leads completely. The guy actually runs this stuff himself, so he knows what works.

How the Ad Work Runs

Four steps with a check at each

The work runs in four steps, and the owner approves the copy and the budget before anything goes live.

  1. Step 01

    Review the current campaigns

I check what runs now, what it reaches and what it has booked, and write that down for the owner.

  2. Step 02

    Set the booking tags

Every booking, call and membership sign-up gets a source tag before new spend starts.

  3. Step 03

    Build and approve the campaigns

Each campaign is built around a window and approved by the owner in writing before it runs.

  4. Step 04

    Hand over the accounts

You receive the ad accounts, tags and logins, plus notes on how to read the readout.

What Moves Golf Ad Scope

Scope set before any spend

I quote a fixed scope after a free look at the campaigns you run now. The drivers below change the work, and each one is written into the quote.

GIOSTAR brand hub, a system I built
  • How many tee windows, offers and campaigns the plan covers
  • How many campaigns run and how often they change
  • Booking-platform reporting the owner can export
  • Landing pages built for each window or offer
  • Monthly readout, and whether I run it or hand it over
