Does Law Firm Advertising Pay Off

Clicks that never become matters

A firm that advertises usually sees a steady stream of form fills and calls, and a monthly report that counts them. The count rarely says which campaign produced a matter that signed, or what the firm spent to get it. Partners end up choosing the next budget from the number that is easiest to see.

That is the wound. Money goes out, the report says leads came in, and nobody can name the cases. Advertising for a law firm is worth its fee only if each campaign can be checked against intake and signed matters.

Law Firm Ad Services

Campaigns built to be checked

I build campaigns for each practice area, each with its own budget, landing page and conversion event. A campaign's first measure is a consultation request. Its real measure is the matter that opened and the one that signed, which the firm's intake record supplies.

The campaigns stay separate, so the firm can see which practice area is paying for itself and which needs to change or stop. Each change goes into the readout with the date and the reason.

Law Firm Advertising Types

Campaign types I set up

These are the campaign types I set up for a firm. Each one is measured against consultations and matters, not impressions.

Practice area search ads

Paid search on the problem words clients use, pointing to the practice page that answers them.

Local search ads

Campaigns limited to the courts, cities and neighborhoods the firm serves, with ad copy that names those places.

Social ads for a practice

Short ads that introduce an attorney and a practice area, with the consultation form as the only action.

Retargeting

Ads that return to visitors who read a practice page without asking for a consultation, capped in frequency.

Call tracking on ads

Ads connected to a tracked intake line, with call tags set up to the firm's policy.

Directory placements

Directory and listing placements checked for accuracy first, because a wrong listing costs as much as a missed call.

Law Firm Advertising Portfolio

Work I built, live where you can check it

Every build below is real and every link goes to the live work. None of the five is a law firm or an advertising client in legal services, and I say so plainly. Two are full websites I built and still run. The other three are brand and content work, and each card says which.

Social content system

Quotible: a testimonial-led social series

For Quotible I built a social content system that turns real customer testimonials into on-brand posts and carousels.

Have You Run Ads for a Law Firm

The closest work I have

No law firm is in my portfolio, and I am not claiming an ad client in legal services.

The closest work I have is brand work for a Las Vegas event venue and a testimonial-led social content series for Quotible. Neither one is paid media for a law practice, and I say so before you decide.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

From what I've seen, Justin knows the AI automation space better than most people I've come across in Las Vegas. He's the kind of person who actually understands the technical side and can explain it without making you feel lost. Good guy, good reputation.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we reached out to Justin for some AI consulting advice on where our service business could actually use automation. He was straightforward about what made sense and what didn't. Ended up being a useful conversation. Las Vegas has no shortage of people claiming to be experts, and he's one of the few who could back it up.

Known Justin for a few years now. Guy knows the AI space better than most people I've come across, especially here in Las Vegas where there's no shortage of people claiming to be experts. He actually understands how AI automation works at a practical level, not just the theory. The kind of person who gives you a straight answer with kindness and patience

Knew Justin before he started building AI systems for businesses, and watching what he's put together is genuinely impressive. He built out an AI automation setup for my website in Las Vegas and it changed how we handle leads completely. The guy actually runs this stuff himself, so he knows what works.

What Ad Platforms Restrict for Legal Services

Where the platforms draw the line

Ad platforms set their own rules for legal services, and those rules change. I check the current policy for each platform before a campaign goes live, and I flag every line the firm's counsel should read. Whether an ad complies is counsel's call, and I do not describe any ad as compliant.

GIOSTAR homepage, a website I built

Where Advertising Rules Apply

Lawyer advertising rules in every channel

Lawyer advertising in Nevada is governed by the Nevada Rules of Professional Conduct, including the rules on advertising and solicitation. Those rules reach search, social, listings and directories alike. They affect what an ad may say about results, testimonials, specialties and fees.

I write to the marketing side of those rules and leave the legal read to counsel.

How Much Law Firm Advertising Costs

What sets the scope

The media budget is the firm's decision. I quote a fixed price for the work to set up, run and report on the campaigns, after I have read the current accounts and the intake steps.

  • How many practice areas run campaigns at once

Law Firm Ad Questions

Questions partners ask before a campaign

Straight answers to what owners ask me before they hire me. If yours is not here, ask it on a call.

What a First Month Looks Like

Four weeks, one readout

In the first month I set up tracking, launch the first campaigns for one or two practice areas and check every intake record against the readout. The first readout is a baseline, not a verdict. From the second month, each campaign has a review date, and I recommend changes only when the matters support them.

GIOSTAR brand hub, a system I built

Who Holds the Intake Data

The firm keeps client details

Intake records hold sensitive details about prospective clients. The readout uses counts and outcomes by campaign, not what a person wrote. The firm owns the records and the ad accounts, and I keep access only as far as the work needs.
