SEO You Can Check

I do accountant SEO myself for CPA firms and bookkeeping practices in the Valley and beyond. Each page is tracked to the consultation request it produces, and you keep every login from day one.

Is SEO Worth It for an Accounting Firm

Most CPA firms cannot tell what SEO produced

Ask an accounting firm owner what the search spend bought last year and the answer is usually a report. The report has rankings, impressions and a line saying traffic went up. It rarely says how many people called, how many asked for a consultation, or which page did the work. Without that, SEO looks like a monthly invoice with a chart attached.

That is the wound I see most in accounting firms. The owner is not against SEO. The owner paid for it, cannot check it, and then cannot decide whether to pay again. A firm with a solid reputation can still lose consultation requests to a competitor that shows up for the questions buyers type.

Accounting SEO Timing for Tax Season

A plan for the calendar, not a monthly guess

Accounting demand is lumpy. Individual returns are due April 15, and the IRS lets filers request an extension to October 15 by filing Form 4868. Most of the tax-related search a firm can win comes before those dates, so the pages have to be live well before them.

The quieter months carry the advisory work: planning, entity choice, cash flow and bookkeeping clean-up. I build those pages and their articles in the off-season, so they have time to be found before the next filing deadline arrives.

Who Accountant SEO Is For

Firms with advisory work to sell

The firms that get the most from SEO sell services people search for before they have a relationship with a CPA. Tax filing alone is a hard search to win, because buyers compare price and turnaround. Advisory work, such as business formation, payroll setup and owner planning, gives the search a reason to choose the firm that explains it best.

A business owner reviewing work on a phone
  • A firm that sells advisory work along with filing
  • A bookkeeping practice whose clients need a CPA
  • A solo CPA who wants steady inbound consultation requests
  • A firm with more than one office in the Valley
  • A firm that wants a monthly readout it can check

Best Accountant SEO for a Small Firm

How I would judge the options

A small firm has three real routes: an agency retainer, a freelancer, or a person who does the work and shows it. The table compares them on the points that matter when you cannot read the work yourself.

Affordable Accountant SEO

What a fixed scope buys

Affordable is the wrong question for an accounting firm. A cheap engagement that never shows which page produced a consultation costs more in the end. I quote a fixed price for a written scope after I have looked at the site and the services, so the number agreed is the number paid.

GIOSTAR homepage, a website I built

How Much Does Accountant SEO Cost

What moves the price

I do not publish a number on this page. I quote a fixed price after a look at the site, and these are the things that move it.

A storefront street in the Valley
  • How many services need their own search page
  • How much of the current site already works and can be kept
  • Whether the Google Business Profile needs repair first
  • How deep the monthly readout goes and the tracking it depends on
  • Whether a rebuild has to come before the SEO work can start

Accountant SEO Process

How an engagement runs, step by step

Every engagement runs the same five steps, and each step ends with something you can open.

  1. Step 01

    Look at what you have

I review the site, the Google listing and the searches the firm already gets, then send a written read before any contract.

  2. Step 02

    Agree the scope in writing

Services, pages, tracking and the readout on one page. Any change goes on that page first.

  3. Step 03

    Research and write

I pull the questions buyers ask, then write each service page and article around them. You review real pages in a browser, not a draft in a spreadsheet.

  4. Step 04

    Build, connect and test

Forms, calls and booking are tracked and tested end to end, and every page is checked on a phone before launch.

  5. Step 05

    Launch and report

Old addresses redirect to the new ones so search history carries over. Each month you get the plain readout.

Work I built, live where you can check it

Every build below is real and every link goes to the live work. Two of the five are full websites I built and still run. The other three are brand and content work, two of them for sites that are in build now, and each card says which.

GIOSTAR: the clinic website, booking and lead tracking

I built and run giostarwellness.com for a regenerative medicine and wellness clinic in Henderson: every service page, online booking, financing and a blog. A website lead is tracked end to end, from the form to a booked consult to an active patient, with no manual steps. I also built its live brand hub, so every page, post and print piece pulls the same colours, type and rules.

Have You Worked with Accountants

No accounting client claimed

I have not built SEO for an accounting firm, and I do not claim an accounting client. The portfolio above shows the builds I have done, and each card says what the work was.

The process on this page is the one I use for every client. Pages are tracked, the readout is plain, and the firm owns the domain and the logins.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

What an Accountant SEO Report Shows

The one page I send each month

The readout is one page. It lists each service page, the consultation requests and calls each one produced that month, and the changes I made to earn them.

It also says what did not work. If a page drew visits and no requests, the readout says so and names the fix. You can compare every line against your own intake log, and that comparison is the check that matters.

Can Accounting Firms Advertise Online

Rules I check with the board

A state board of accountancy sets rules on how CPAs and firms may advertise, and those rules affect what a page or an ad can say. I treat them as marketing limits to plan around. I do not give legal advice, and whether any page or ad is compliant is a call for the firm's own counsel.
