What is auto repair SEO?

Search for shops that fix cars

Auto repair SEO is the work that makes a repair shop show up when someone nearby types a service and a town into a search box. A driver with a squeal in the brakes searches for brake repair near them, reads three listings, and calls one. SEO is the set of pages, listing details and reviews that decide which shop that driver sees first.

The work is local by nature. Most searches for a shop come from a few miles away, and the listing on the map matters as much as the website. A shop that does the work well but has an unclear listing and thin service pages loses the call to a shop with less skill and better pages.

Auto repair SEO services

Search work for repair shops

I run the search work for independent shops and for service departments that want their own visibility. The services are the pages, the listing, the reviews and the tracking that connects them to calls and booked visits.

Each service ends with a file or a page the owner can open: an audit, a fix list, a changed page with a date, or a readout in plain numbers. Nothing is hidden in a dashboard the shop cannot read.

Brake repair pages and make pages for auto shops

A page for each service and make

A shop's service pages should match how drivers search. Brake repair, oil changes, transmission service, diagnostics and tire work each deserve their own page, with the work described in the shop's own terms, the common symptoms named and the next step made clear.

Some searches add a make: brake repair for a specific vehicle brand, for example. I build make pages only where the shop does that work and can show it, so each page answers a real question and does not repeat the service page with a different name.

Why auto shop SEO reports are hard to check

The report with no repair order

Many shop owners pay for search work and receive a monthly report full of impressions, rankings and clicks. None of those numbers says whether a single repair was booked. The owner cannot tell which page produced the call that became a repair order, so the report cannot be checked against the shop's own records.

I start every engagement by agreeing on the record that matters: calls, booked visits and the repair orders they became, pulled from the shop's own software. The report then reads against that record, and the owner can check each line.

Google Business Profile for auto repair shops

The map listing for each shop

The Google Business Profile is the listing that appears on the map when a driver searches nearby. Its categories, services, hours, photos and posts all feed the search result. A profile with the wrong category or missing services sends drivers to the shop down the road.

I audit the profile first, correct what is wrong, and then keep it current with photos of the work and posts about the services the shop actually offers. Changes are logged with dates so the owner can see what changed and when.

Replying to auto repair Google reviews

Replies that name the service

A review reply is read by every driver who looks at the listing. A reply that names the service, thanks the customer for the specific repair and answers any concern in plain words builds more trust than a generic thank-you. A reply that argues with a customer does lasting damage.

I draft replies in the shop's voice, grouped by the service they describe, and the owner approves each one before it is posted. Negative reviews get a draft that acknowledges the problem and offers a direct way to resolve it.

GIOSTAR: the clinic website, booking and lead tracking

I built and run giostarwellness.com for a regenerative medicine and wellness clinic in Henderson: every service page, online booking, financing and a blog. A website lead is tracked end to end, from the form to a booked consult to an active patient, with no manual steps. I also built its live brand hub, so every page, post and print piece pulls the same colours, type and rules.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

How auto shop SEO gets tracked

From search to the phone call

Tracking connects the search work to the calls and visits it produces. Each service page carries its own tracked phone number or booking link, and the calls and forms are logged with the page that received them. The shop matches those logs to repair orders in its own software.

Where a call cannot be tied to a page, the report says so. A gap in the record is more useful to the owner than a number that looks precise and cannot be checked.

What the monthly report shows

The difference between a typical report and the one I write is the difference between activity and outcome. The table lists the parts side by side.

What a weak page getsA vague note about contentA named fix, the date made and the result after it

How much does auto repair SEO cost

What moves the scope

I quote a fixed price for a written scope after I have looked at the site, the listing and the shop's records. I do not print a number before that look, because a shop with one location and a shop with six need very different work.

A business owner reviewing work on a phone
  • How many services and makes the site must cover

How an auto repair SEO engagement runs

Audit, fix list, build, log

Each engagement follows the same steps, and the first deliverable arrives before the first month ends.

  1. Step 01

    Audit the shop

The site, the listing, the citations and the tracking are reviewed and written up.

  2. Step 02

    Agree the fix list

The owner approves the list of changes, in order, before any page is edited.

  3. Step 03

    Build and correct

Pages and listings are changed, each change logged with its date and reason.

  4. Step 04

    Keep the log

Every change stays in the monthly log, so a later question has a dated answer.

Auto repair SEO case work

What I have built and what I have not

No client case in auto repair is claimed on this page. The search work I can show is a medical practice in Henderson, which is a different trade with different patient searches. The closest search systems I built are for my own sites, where each fix is a dated row you can open.

Can auto repair SEO guarantee first place

What I will not promise

No one can guarantee a search position, and I will not promise one. Search results change with competitors, reviews, seasons and changes in how search engines show listings. What I commit to in writing is the audit, the fix list, the changes made and the log of what followed.

You will see from the monthly log whether the work is moving calls and visits. Where it is not, the log names the next change and the date it will be made.
