What is dental SEO?
Search work for a dental practice
Dental SEO is the work that makes a practice appear when a person nearby searches for a dentist, a procedure or a problem such as a broken tooth at night. The search results show a map listing, a set of practice pages and reviews. The practice that a patient chooses is usually the one whose listing and pages answer the question clearly.
The work is local and specific. A search for implants in one part of the Valley is a different search from one for a family dentist with weekend hours. Each of those searches needs a page that answers it, with the procedure, the visit and the next step described in plain words.

Dental SEO for practices in Las Vegas
Search work for practices in the Valley
Practices in the Valley compete for the same patients across several neighborhoods and cities. A family practice in Henderson, a cosmetic office in Summerlin and a pediatric dentist in North Las Vegas each draw from different searches, and each needs pages that describe the patients it actually sees.
I work from Las Vegas and meet practice owners and office managers across the Valley, at the office or over a call. The first session covers the procedures the practice wants to grow, the insurance it accepts and how new patients book today.

Dental SEO services
What the work covers
The services are the procedure pages, the insurance pages, the listing, the reviews and the tracking that connects them to booked new patients. Each one ends with a file or a page the practice can open, such as an audit, a fix list, a changed page with its date or a readout in its own numbers.
Nothing is buried in a dashboard the office cannot read. The practice receives the same record I keep, and the office manager can check any line against the schedule.
The practice also gets a short note on what I did not change and why. A page that was left alone because it already answers its question is a decision, and the log records it the same way as an edit.

Treatment pages for dental SEO
A page for each procedure
A patient searching for implants or clear aligners wants to know what the treatment involves, who it suits, what the first visit looks like and how the practice handles the cost question. A single services page cannot answer those questions for every procedure, so each one that the practice performs gets its own page.
Each treatment page is written in the practice's own words after I have talked with the clinicians. A page for a procedure the practice does not offer is not published, because a page that promises the wrong work costs more trust than a missing page.
Each page also names the questions a patient should bring to the consultation, such as recovery time, follow-up visits and what a second opinion looks like. A patient who arrives with those answers already in hand tends to book the consultation rather than compare three offices by phone.

Insurance pages for dental practices
Insurance answered before the call
Many patients search for a dentist who accepts their plan, and they leave the site quickly if the answer is buried or vague. An insurance page names the plans the practice accepts, explains what happens for a plan it does not, and says which questions the front desk answers by phone.
I write insurance pages with the office manager, because the rules and the wording depend on the practice's own contracts. The page never promises coverage for a specific treatment. It describes how the office checks benefits and what the patient should bring to the first visit.
The insurance page is reviewed each time the practice changes a plan, because a stale plan list is worse than none. The review date is written on the page's record, and the change is logged like any other edit.

Local SEO for dentists
Searches from the neighborhood
Local search depends on the map listing, the address, the categories and the reviews. A practice with an accurate listing and a steady flow of recent reviews gets shown more often for nearby searches. A listing with a wrong category or an old phone number sends patients to a competitor who is only a few blocks away.
I audit the listing first, correct what is wrong and then keep it current with photos of the office and posts about the services the practice offers. Each change is logged with its date so the practice can see what changed and when.
Reviews matter for dental searches because patients read several before choosing. The practice's review replies name the treatment or visit being described, written in a calm voice that does not argue with any patient, and the owner approves each one before it is posted.
Map listings for each office are checked against the practice's hours, services and insurance list. Mismatched details are corrected first, because they cost calls.

Why dental SEO reports cannot be checked
Impressions with no booked patient
Many practices pay for search work and receive a monthly report full of impressions, rankings and clicks. None of those figures says whether a single new patient booked. The office cannot tell which page produced the call that became a first visit, so the report cannot be checked against the schedule.
I start every engagement by agreeing on the record that matters: calls, booked new patient visits and the visits they became, pulled from the practice's own scheduling software. The readout is written against that record, so the office can check each line.
A useful report also states what it cannot measure. A search that ends with a patient walking in without calling is not counted as a call, and the readout says that instead of inventing a number to fill the gap.

GIOSTAR: the clinic website, booking and lead tracking
I built and run giostarwellness.com for a regenerative medicine and wellness clinic in Henderson: every service page, online booking, financing and a blog. A website lead is tracked end to end, from the form to a booked consult to an active patient, with no manual steps. I also built its live brand hub, so every page, post and print piece pulls the same colours, type and rules.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

Tracking dental SEO to booked new patients
From search to the schedule
Tracking connects the search work to the new patients it produces. Each treatment and insurance page carries its own tracked phone number or booking link, and calls and forms are logged with the page that received them. The office matches those logs to the schedule in its own software.
Where a call cannot be tied to a page, the readout says so. A gap in the record is more useful to the practice than a number that looks precise and cannot be checked against anything.
The practice keeps one rule for the record: a booked new patient is counted once, from the date of the first booked visit, and every count can be found in the scheduling software under that date.
Tracking connects each booked visit to the search term or page that started the session. Phone calls are tagged the same way, so the front desk and the report agree.

Procedure page examples for a dental practice
How a procedure page is laid out
| Procedure page | What a patient checks | What the page commits to |
|---|---|---|
| Dental implants | Candidacy, the number of visits and the healing period | The first visit is described, and the cost question is answered in general terms |
| Clear aligners | Whether the case fits, the timeline and the check-ins | The consultation steps are named, with no promised result |
| Emergency visits | Same-day availability and what to do after hours | The phone line and the booking path are both shown |
| Cleanings and checkups | How often, what is included and what insurance covers | The insurance page is linked, and no coverage is promised |
| Children's dentistry | Age guidance, first visit and parent steps | The first visit is explained to parents in plain words |
How much does dental SEO cost
What moves the scope
I quote a fixed price for a written scope after I have looked at the site, the listing and the practice's scheduling records. I do not print a number before that look, because a practice with six procedures and a practice with forty need very different pages.
The fee depends on the number of office locations, the number of treatment pages and whether the practice wants a monthly call. The quote lists each of those inputs before work starts.

- How many treatment and insurance pages the practice needs
- The state of the Google profile and the citations
- Whether the scheduling software can report booked new patients
- How many locations the practice operates
- How much of the review reply work the practice keeps
What a dental SEO readout shows
A readout in new patients
The monthly readout is one page written for the office manager and the owner. It lists the pages that drew visits, the calls and forms they produced, the new patient visits booked from them and the changes made in the month.
Each figure can be matched to the scheduling software, so the office can check it in a few minutes. Where a month produced fewer bookings, the readout names the page to change next and the date the change will be made.
The first readout includes a baseline, the figures for the months before the work began, so the office can see the change against its own history instead of against a benchmark that does not apply to it.

How a dental SEO engagement runs
Audit, fix list, build, log
Each engagement follows the same steps, and the first deliverable arrives before the first month ends.
- Step 01
Audit the practice
The site, the listing, the citations and the tracking are reviewed and written up.
- Step 02
Agree the fix list
The practice approves the changes, in order, before any page is edited.
- Step 03
Build and correct
Pages and listings change, each one logged with its date and reason.
- Step 04
Keep the log
Every change stays in the monthly log, so a later question has a dated answer.
Dental SEO for the closest work I have
A clinic, not a dental office
The closest search work I have is for GIOSTAR, a regenerative medicine clinic in Henderson. That is a medical practice with its own patients, procedures and rules, and it is not a dental practice. I use the same method for a dental practice: tracked pages, a record of each change and a readout in new patients.
No dental result is claimed on this page. Any dental practice I work with starts from its own records, and the readout reports what those records show, including the months when they show little.

Can dental SEO guarantee new patients
What I will not promise
No one can guarantee a number of new patients from search, and I will not promise one. Search results shift with competitors, reviews, seasons and changes in how search engines show listings. What I commit to in writing is the audit, the fix list, the changes made and the log of what followed.
Dental advertising and patient claims carry rules that the practice's own counsel and its dental board govern. I do not advise on those rules, and I do not write a claim about outcomes that the practice cannot support.

Dental SEO Reports a Practice Can Read
Calls, bookings and treatment pages
A dental SEO report should show the search terms that brought in new patients, the treatment pages that drew visits and the calls or bookings that followed. Rankings alone do not show whether the practice grew. Each monthly report lists those three things in plain language, with one next step.
Practice managers often ask why a report shows many visits but few bookings. The usual causes are a slow booking page, a phone number that is hard to find or a treatment page that answers the question without offering the next step. The report names which of those it is and what to change.
