Bubble Agency
Bubble, With a Way Out Written Down
As a Bubble agency of one, I build and review Bubble apps myself, and I tell you in writing where the platform fits and where it will not. You own the app, the account and the data export.

A Bubble app that slowed down and cannot be moved
A non-technical founder usually reaches me in one of two states. Either they are about to build on Bubble and want to know if it will hold, or they already have a Bubble app that has become slow, expensive to change and impossible to hand to anyone else.
Bubble is a no-code platform for building web applications by arranging pieces on screen instead of writing code. It is genuinely quick for a first version, which is why founders choose it. The cost shows up later. As data grows, pages that were fast get slow, and because Bubble hosts the app and holds its logic, you cannot lift the app out and run it somewhere else.
The fear is being locked in with someone you cannot check. I do the work myself, I write the limits down before you commit, and the scope includes how you would leave if you ever needed to.

What I do on Bubble
Four kinds of work, and I will turn down the ones that do not fit.
A first version
A narrow Bubble app to put in front of real users, built so the data model is clean from day one.
Read more →Performance review
I read how the app stores and fetches data, find the slow pages and send a written list of fixes.
Clean-up and handover
Rename, document and simplify an app that grew in a tangle, so another person can maintain it.
A way out
A plan for moving the data, and where it makes sense the logic, to custom code if the app outgrows Bubble.
Read more →A website around the app
The public site that explains the product and sends people into it, covered on my web design page.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

From what I've seen, Justin knows the AI automation space better than most people I've come across in Las Vegas. He's the kind of person who actually understands the technical side and can explain it without making you feel lost. Good guy, good reputation.

I've Known Justin for a while now and he really knows his stuff when it comes to AI consulting. If people in Las Vegas were to ask me for recommendations in this space, he's the best guy for the job, hands down.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we reached out to Justin for some AI consulting advice on where our service business could actually use automation. He was straightforward about what made sense and what didn't. Ended up being a useful conversation. Las Vegas has no shortage of people claiming to be experts, and he's one of the few who could back it up.

Known Justin for a few years now. Guy knows the AI space better than most people I've come across, especially here in Las Vegas where there's no shortage of people claiming to be experts. He actually understands how AI automation works at a practical level, not just the theory. The kind of person who gives you a straight answer with kindness and patience

Knew Justin before he started building AI systems for businesses, and watching what he's put together is genuinely impressive. He built out an AI automation setup for my website in Las Vegas and it changed how we handle leads completely. The guy actually runs this stuff himself, so he knows what works.

When Bubble Is Right and When to Leave
When Bubble is right, when to leave
| Situation | Stay on Bubble (picked when it fits) | Move to custom code |
|---|---|---|
| You are testing an idea with a few users | Yes: fastest way to learn | Too early |
| Pages slow down as data grows | Often fixable by reworking the data model | If fixes are exhausted and the app keeps growing |
| You need to hand the app to an engineering team | Hard: the logic stays inside Bubble | Yes: code can be read and moved |
| You need unusual integrations | Possible through an API connector | Easier in code |
| Customers must not depend on one vendor | Weak: Bubble hosts the app | Yes |
| Budget and time are tight | Yes | Costs more up front |
What to Check in an Inherited Bubble App
What I check when I take over
Most Bubble apps I am asked about already exist. Before I propose anything I open the editor with read access and go through the same list each time. It takes a short while and it tells you whether the problem is the app or the platform.

- How the data is organized, and whether a fact is stored in more than one place
- Which pages load long lists and which searches run on every page view
- Which workflows run on the server and which in the browser
- Which plugins are installed and whether the app still needs them
- Who can see which data, and whether the privacy rules are set
- Whose account the app sits in, and whether a backup and a test copy exist
Bubble Agency Process
How a Bubble project runs
Every project follows the same steps, each ending with something you can open.
- Step 01
Look at the idea or the app
For a new app, I ask who will use it and what they do first. For an existing one, I ask for editor access and read it.
- Step 02
Written advice
A page saying whether Bubble fits, what the limits are and what the exit looks like. This comes before I quote work.
- Step 03
Agree the scope in writing
Screens, workflows, data and what is left out, on one page.
- Step 04
Build and test with real data
I test with realistic volumes so slowness shows up before launch, not after.
- Step 05
Hand over
The Bubble account is in your name. I add a guide that explains each workflow.
- Step 06
How remote work runs
A weekly call, a shared tracker and a short recording with each change.
Bubble Development Pricing
What moves the price
I quote a fixed price for a written scope, so the number you agree is the number you pay. Bubble also carries its own plan fees to the platform, which you pay directly in your own account.

- The number of distinct screens and user roles
- How complex the data is and how much of it there will be
- Payments, email and outside services the app must connect to
- Whether I am building new or repairing an existing app
- Whether data must be moved out of an older system
- Whether an exit plan to custom code is wanted
Bubble Development Timeline
How long a Bubble build takes
A narrow first version moves faster than a platform with many roles and payments. I never give a timeline before I understand the app, and the date goes into the scope before work starts. If the scope changes, the date changes on the same page.

Bubble Freelance or Agency
Why one consultant instead of an agency
Why hire one consultant instead of an agency? A Bubble agency usually has a salesperson, a project manager and a builder. The person who hears your idea is not the person who builds it, and each hand-off loses something. With me the person on the call is the person in the editor.
The portfolio on this page shows no Bubble build. I would rather say that than imply one. What it does show is how I scope and ship real projects, and the same process applies here.
