Planning Pins That Sell
Pinterest ads Las Vegas brands run work when the pins match how people plan. I build the seasonal calendar, the product feed and the tracking, so a saved pin can be traced to a sale or a booking.

What Pin Ads Are
Promoted pins in a planning feed
Pinterest is a visual search and planning platform. People save ideas for projects they have not started yet: a kitchen, a wedding, a garden, a style for the office. A promoted pin looks like an ordinary pin with a small label, and it can link to a page, a product or a booking.
The timing is different from most platforms. A planner may save a pin in March for a project that starts in September, so the value of the ad often shows up weeks or months after the first view.

Why Planners Save Before They Buy
A long path to the sale
Planners compare, collect and return. A saved pin can sit in a board for a season before the person decides, and the sale may come from a search, a visit to your site or a call days later. An owner who checks the report after one week sees a quiet channel, when the channel is working on a longer clock.
That is why I set the test window in months, not days, and why the tracking has to survive a long gap between the save and the booking.
Saves also work as a free research panel. Watching which pins a planner keeps tells you which look, price range and finish the audience prefers, and I feed that back into the next season's designs before spending more on the old ones.

Seasonal Planning Calendar
Pins that arrive before the season
Most of the value on this platform comes from planning ahead. A pin for a summer project should be live in late winter, and a wedding pin should be live long before the wedding season opens. I build a calendar that starts from the buying season for each service, not from the calendar of the business.
The calendar is written as a list of pins, pages and dates. You approve it before anything goes live, so the seasons in your plan match the seasons your buyers actually plan for.
A calendar with a single peak is fragile. I plan a second wave for the season after the peak, when planners start the next project, so a business is not left with a long quiet stretch after its busiest weeks.

Product Feed and Catalog
A catalog that stays current
For a business that sells products, the catalog feed is the engine behind shopping pins. Each item needs a title, an image, a price and a link that matches what the page shows. When the feed and the site disagree, the pin is rejected or the shopper lands on the wrong item.
I check the feed before any pin runs, and I set a short routine to refresh stock and prices. A feed that is out of date costs more in lost trust than in wasted spend.

Creative That Earns a Save
Pins people keep
A pin earns a save when it looks useful to a planner: a clear image, a short title that names the idea and a visual that shows the finished result. Stock imagery and heavy text overlays get scrolled past, because they look like an ad before they look like an idea.
I make the images from your real work, with the room, the product or the result in frame. Two or three designs per idea are tested against each other, and the one that gets saved most is kept for the next season.
Captions do more work than they seem to. A caption that names the room size, the material or the timeline gives the planner a reason to save the pin for later, and it gives the page a clear first line to continue from.

Tracking Sales From Pins
Connecting the save to the sale
A save is a signal, and a sale is a result. I set up the tag on your site, the product events and the booking or form events before the first pin goes live. That lets the report tie a purchase or a booking back to the pin it followed, even when the path was long.
Where the path is too long to trace, the report says so. I do not claim a sale that the tracking cannot support, and I label every line in the weekly note by how it was measured.
Attribution windows matter here. A long planning path needs a longer window in the report, and I set that window before launch so a sale that arrives in month three is not lost, nor credited to a pin that never earned it.

When Pin Ads Fit
Businesses planners already search
A project planners save
A kitchen, a renovation, an event, a style or a garden. Anything that people collect ideas for before they hire or buy.
Images from real work
Photos of finished projects, products in use or the space a client will see. Planners save what looks like a finished result.
A page that holds the idea
A page that continues the idea from the pin, with the service, the area and a clear next step.
When Pin Ads Do Not Fit
When I would skip the channel
If your service is bought in an emergency, a planning feed will reach people who are not in a hurry, and the spend will sit idle. If your product has no visual story, the pins will look like a list of text. If your buyers are business buyers who research in other places, the feed is the wrong room.
I say so in writing before any spend, and I suggest the channel I would test next. A short no is often worth more than a long test that ends with nothing to read.

Shopping Pins for Retail and Services
Products and bookings in one feed
A shop with products can use shopping pins, which show the item, the price and a direct link. A service business can use a similar format for packages, booking slots or gift certificates, if the page makes the offer clear and the link works on a phone.
I set up each format to match the page it links to. A shopping pin that opens a general home page loses the saver at the last step, however good the image looks.
Gift certificates and packages work well in planning feeds, because a planner can save a gift idea for a birthday months away. The price, the package name and the booking link need to match exactly, or the saver loses trust at the last tap.
A short check each week confirms that every shoppable link opens the matching item and that out-of-stock products are removed from the feed before a planner can tap them.

Pin Ads Test Plan
How a test is built
- Step 01
Pick the planning season
I choose the season your buyers start planning and the services that match it. You approve the list before any pin is made.
- Step 02
Build the pins and the pages
Two or three designs per idea, each linked to a page that continues the idea, with tracking tested before launch.
- Step 03
Run through the season
The pins run on a fixed schedule with a weekly note. Pins that earn saves get more budget, and weak designs are replaced.
- Step 04
Review the long view
At the end of the season, the report compares saves, visits and sales against the calendar, and the next season's plan is written from that read.
Seasonal Pins for Events and Weddings
Long lead times and fixed dates
Event and wedding planners start their search months before the date, and they save many ideas before they choose a vendor. A business that serves that market needs pins live early, with a page that shows the work and a simple way to ask for a date.
I plan the event calendar from the date of the event back to the first save, and I set the budget to peak in the months when planners are most active, not in the month of the event itself.
Vendor lists and venue pages often sit next to the pins, so a clear page with dates, capacity and a contact route earns more than a page that only shows a gallery.

Pin Ads Cost
What moves the spend
The cost depends on the audience, the season, the competition for the placement and the action you pay for. A campaign chasing saves costs differently from one chasing sales, and a seasonal peak costs more than a quiet month. I do not compare this channel with a search number before I know the goal.
I quote a fixed price for a written scope after a free look at the calendar and the page, so you know the full cost before you commit.
I also report the cost of a seasonal peak against the quieter months around it, so the peak is judged on its own terms and not averaged away.

Working With One Consultant
The person who plans the calendar
I have built websites and run digital marketing for Las Vegas businesses for fourteen years, and I still do the account work myself. The person who writes the calendar is the person who reads the saves and the sales each week.
The account, the catalog, the tag and the logins are in your name. If you stop working with me, the calendar, the pin designs and the history stay with you.
When a season ends, the review is written in plain words and shared with you before the next calendar is drafted. The note names what worked, what did not and what I would test first next year.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.
