TV Advertising Las Vegas

A spot with a number on it

I plan TV Advertising Las Vegas buys so each spot can be traced to a call, a form or a booking. Every spot gets its own number, QR code or landing page, and you get a written readout that shows which spot produced what.

Is TV Advertising Worth the Money

Where the TV budget goes

A television buy is one of the few purchases where the owner pays for production and airtime before knowing whether a single customer saw the spot. The invoice arrives, the spot runs for a few weeks, and the phone rings or it does not, with no way to tell which of the two came from the commercial.

The usual cause is that nobody built a path back to the buy. The spot pointed to the company name and a general website, the calls went to the main line, and the owner had no record of which ad produced which call. That is unauditable spend in its oldest form.

Before any budget goes in, I write the result as one action a viewer takes, such as a call, a booking or a visit to a page. Each spot is given its own way to be counted, so the action can be traced to the spot that produced it.

TV Advertising Management

A buy you can trace

I plan the tracking, the landing pages and the readout for each TV campaign, and I keep the records in accounts that are registered to your business. Your team gets the access it needs from day one, so the numbers, the pages and the call records stay with the business no matter who runs the day to day.

The airtime itself is bought from the station or a media buyer you choose, and the invoice is addressed to your business, so you see what each spot cost in your own records. I connect every spot to its tracking before it airs, so the readout can say what the spend produced.

How an Offline Buy Gets Measured

Each spot has its own path

A TV spot cannot carry a link, so the path back has to be built into the spot itself. Each one gets a unique phone number, a short web address or a QR code, a promotion code, or a landing page that exists only for that spot. The number is read aloud or shown on screen, and the page is named in the commercial.

Calls to the spot number are logged against that spot, so a call can be traced to the flight, the station and the day it aired. Visits to the spot's landing page and redemptions of its promotion code are recorded the same way, and the readout shows all three side by side.

Calls that come to the main number are logged as unmatched, and that count appears in the readout too. Nobody gets credit for a call the tracking cannot place.

What I do on the buy

Most owners hire me for a TV buy for one of these six jobs, and each one leaves a record you can open.

Tracking plan

A unique number, code or landing page for every spot, written down before the first flight and checked on the day it airs.

Landing pages

A page for each spot that repeats the offer in the commercial, so the viewer who types the address lands on the promise they saw.

Spot script review

A read of the script for the call to action, the spoken number and the on-screen text, checked for clarity before production.

Flight log

A record of each station, daypart and airing date, kept beside the call and visit counts so the timing can be compared.

Call logging

Every call to a spot number logged against its flight, with missed calls and calls to the main line kept in a separate count.

Monthly readout

One written page with cost per tracked action for each spot, what changed and what the next flight will test.

Work I built, live where you can check it

No TV campaign is in my case file as a client case study, so I claim none. The builds below are real web and brand work, and they show the landing pages and call tracking I build for every offline buy.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

Which Businesses TV Suits

Owners who can afford a test

TV fits a business with a broad local customer base, an offer that can be explained in thirty seconds and enough budget to run a flight long enough to read. A home-services company with several crews, a regional clinic network or a large venue has the reach to make the test worth running.

It is a poor first test for a small business with one location and a small budget. The production cost and the airtime can consume the whole budget before the tracking has a chance to show anything, and search or a managed display test will usually answer the question faster.

Production and Creative for TV

A spot built to be called

A spot that works on television gives the viewer one idea, one offer and one way to act. The number or the address is repeated at the end, and the on-screen text is readable on a small screen with the sound off. A spot with four messages and a logo at the end usually produces no calls at all.

Production is a separate cost and I quote it as one. Where the business already has footage, I edit a shorter version for the flight. Where it does not, I write the script and manage the shoot, and the files go into the business's own storage when the work is done.

How a TV Test Runs

Tracking first, then a flight

  1. Step 01

    Define the action

Choose the call, booking or visit that counts, and write down the cost you can accept for each one before airtime is booked.

  2. Step 02

    Build the tracking

Give every spot its own number, code or page, and test that each one logs correctly before the first airing.

  3. Step 03

    Run a small flight

One or two spots on a limited schedule, so the results can be read without a large commitment.

  4. Step 04

    Keep or change

A spot that produces its action at the agreed cost runs again. A spot that does not is replaced, and the reason is logged.

  5. Step 05

    Report monthly

A written readout with the tracked actions for each spot, the flight log and the test planned for next month.

TV Advertising Cost

What moves the budget

TV advertising pricing comes down to separate lines. My work is a fixed price for a written scope, quoted after I look at your offer, your footage and your tracking. Production and airtime are separate costs, paid to the producer and the station or buyer, and they are not billed through me.

The scope changes the price, so these are the things I price for. You can judge any quote this way, mine included.

GIOSTAR homepage, a website I built
  • Whether the spot is produced new, or cut from footage you already own
  • How many spots and versions the flight tests
  • Number of landing pages and tracking numbers the plan needs
  • Call logging depth and how calls are routed to your team
  • Reporting depth: a monthly readout, or a readout plus a call each week
