Brand Strategy Las Vegas

Positioning You Can Act On

Brand strategy in Las Vegas that ends in decisions, not a deck. I work with the owner to set the position, the words and the rules, then hand over a one-page brief your team can use on the website, the menu and the next ad.

What a brand strategy is

A brand strategy answers four questions a buyer asks before a call: who the business is for, what it does better than the others, why a person should believe it, and what it sounds like when it speaks. A strategy that answers those four questions gives the website, the menu, the ads and the sales script one set of words to share.

Most owners have answered those questions in their heads for years. The work is writing the answers down in a form a designer, a writer and a receptionist can all follow, and that is where a strategy either becomes useful or stays a slide deck.

What I deliver

Every brand strategy I write ends in a short set of documents, not a presentation. Each one answers one question for the team that will use it, and each one is short enough to read in one sitting.

A positioning one-pager

One page stating the audience, the category, the single advantage and the proof behind it, with the decisions written out.

A messaging hierarchy

The headline claim, the three supporting points under it and the proof for each, ranked so a writer knows what to lead with.

A voice sheet

The words the brand uses, the words it refuses, and sample sentences written both ways so the rules are easy to check.

A visual direction note

How the position shows up in color, type and imagery, tied to the brand file the designer will build from.

Who brand strategy is for

Brand strategy fits a business that is about to change how it is seen: a new location, a second service line, a rebrand after a merger, or a founder who has outgrown the first logo. It also fits an owner who has paid for a logo and a website and still cannot explain in one sentence why a buyer should choose the business.

It is a poor fit for a business that has not decided what it sells yet. Positioning cannot settle a question the owner has not answered, so I ask that question first and say so plainly if it is still open.

Brand work I built, and where it stands

Two of the brand builds below are identities I designed for clients whose sites are still in build, and two are finished brand systems. Each card says what I delivered and whether anything is live. The strategy work sits underneath each one.

Brand Strategy Process

How the strategy gets written

  1. Step 01

    Interview

A working session with the owner and anyone who sells, where I ask what buyers say before they buy and what they say after.

  2. Step 02

    Audit the current words

I read the existing website, menu, ads and sales scripts and mark every claim the business cannot prove.

  3. Step 03

    Draft the position

A first position and three alternatives, each written as one sentence the owner can accept, change or reject.

  4. Step 04

    Decide

One decision session where the owner picks the position and I write the reasons into the brief, so the choice is recorded.

  5. Step 05

    Hand over

The brief, the voice sheet and a walkthrough, plus a check of the live website against the new words.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we reached out to Justin for some AI consulting advice on where our service business could actually use automation. He was straightforward about what made sense and what didn't. Ended up being a useful conversation. Knew Justin before he started building AI systems for businesses, and watching what he's put together is genuinely impressive. He built out an AI automation setup for my website in Las Vegas and it changed how we handle leads completely. The guy actually runs this stuff himself, so he knows what works.

Brand Strategy Cost Las Vegas

What moves the cost

I quote a fixed price for a written scope after the first interview, so the number you agree to is the number you pay. A strategy for one service line and a strategy for a business with three locations are different jobs, and a price list would be wrong for both.

An owner at work in a modern office
  • How many audiences the brand speaks to
  • How many locations, service lines or products the position has to cover
  • How many decision sessions the owner and team need
  • Whether the strategy also covers the visual direction and the brand file
  • Whether the website, menu or ads are rewritten in the same project

Brand Positioning Examples

Work that shows the method

The closest finished work for brand strategy is a set of identities where the rules were written down before any artwork started. Those projects show the method more clearly than a case list, so the two below are worth reading before you call.

Brand Messaging Proof

Proof the words hold up

Positioning fails when a claim cannot be checked. Every line in the messaging hierarchy has a proof written beside it: a result the business can show, a process the owner can describe, or a review a customer wrote. A line with no proof is marked as a question for the owner, not printed as a promise.

Devin R., who runs GIOSTAR in Henderson, put the outcome in his Google review this way: "Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines." That line is the kind of proof the messaging hierarchy is built to hold.

Brand Identity Behind the Strategy

How the strategy reaches the artwork

The strategy and the identity are one project, because a logo drawn before the position is settled has to be redrawn once the position moves. I hand the designer the brief and the voice sheet first, then review each concept against the words.

Desi W. wrote about the work that followed: "immediate attention to branding and extensive details in marketing" was the part that mattered most to the business. That attention to detail is what the identity step depends on.
