Brochure Design Las Vegas

A Brochure That Prints Right

Brochure design in Las Vegas, built to print the way the file says it will. I set the color, the fold and the paper before the first proof, so the run that comes back matches the screen and the file you sign off.

Print Design for Brochures

What goes wrong on press

A brochure usually fails at the printer, not at the desk. The screen shows a deep blue, the proof comes back purple, and the run is already paid for. The file looked right because the color was set in the wrong mode, the photos were too small for the sheet, or the fold landed a panel off from the text.

Those problems are dull and they are expensive. A reprint costs the full run again, and a brochure handed to a sales team with the wrong phone number on the back is worse than no brochure at all. The design has to hold up at the press, not only on the monitor.

What I design

Brochures take several forms, and each one is set up differently before the layout starts. Each card below is a format I design and set up for print, with the file type and fold decided up front.

Tri-fold brochures

Three panels set on one sheet, with the fold and the reading order fixed before the copy goes in.

Bi-fold and half-fold

Two-panel and booklet layouts for a service menu, a practice overview or a product sheet.

Multi-page booklets

Saddle-stitched booklets with page counts that divide by four, checked before the first proof.

Sell sheets and one-pagers

A single sheet for a sales call, set up to print on one side or two.

Event and trade show handouts

Handouts sized for a booth, with the booth number and the next step on the front panel.

Print-ready files for a printer

A finished file set for any printer you already use, so the job does not wait on a new vendor.

Who Brochure Design Is For

Owners who print and wait

A brochure fits an owner who sends printed material to clients, a practice that hands a leave-behind to every new patient, or a company that uses print at trade shows and in meetings. It also fits a business that has a logo and a website but no printed piece that matches them.

It is a poor fit for a one-time flyer that will never be reprinted. A short run of a single sheet can be designed quickly, and I will say so if the scope is smaller than a brochure needs.

Work I built, live where you can check it

None of the five builds below is a printed brochure, and I will not show one I did not make. What they show is the setup I use for print: one brand file, a color value set once, and every size exported from the same master. Each card says whether the work is live or still in build.

GIOSTAR: the clinic website, booking and lead tracking

I built and run giostarwellness.com for a regenerative medicine and wellness clinic in Henderson: every service page, online booking, financing and a blog. A website lead is tracked end to end, from the form to a booked consult to an active patient, with no manual steps. I also built its live brand hub, so every page, post and print piece pulls the same colours, type and rules.

Brochure Design Process

How a brochure reaches the press

  1. Step 01

    Brief the job

I confirm the quantity, the size, the fold, the paper and the printer before I open the layout.

  2. Step 02

    Set the file

The color mode, bleed, safe margins and image resolution are set once, to the printer's specification.

  3. Step 03

    One layout to approve

One full design for approval, with each text block and photo placed on the fold it will sit on.

  4. Step 04

    Proof and correct

A press proof or a digital proof, checked line by line against the approved copy before the run.

  5. Step 05

    Hand over the file set

The print-ready PDF, the editable source and a short note on the paper and fold, so the next run matches.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we reached out to Justin for some AI consulting advice on where our service business could actually use automation. He was straightforward about what made sense and what didn't. Ended up being a useful conversation. Knew Justin before he started building AI systems for businesses, and watching what he's put together is genuinely impressive. He built out an AI automation setup for my website in Las Vegas and it changed how we handle leads completely. The guy actually runs this stuff himself, so he knows what works.

Brochure Design Cost Las Vegas

What moves the cost

I quote a fixed price for a written scope after the brief, so the number you agree to is the number you pay. A single tri-fold and a twelve-page booklet are different jobs, and a price list would be wrong for both.

GIOSTAR brand hub, a system I built
  • Page count and fold, which set the layout work
  • Paper stock, finish and any special coating
  • Photography, illustration or copy that has to be written
  • Print quantity and whether the job is one run or a reprint series
  • Rounds of changes after the first layout

Brochure Color and Paper

How I set color for print

Color is the first thing I settle with the printer, before the artwork is built. The brand color is checked as a printed value, not only as the value on a screen, because a bright screen color often prints duller on an uncoated sheet.

Paper changes the look as much as ink does. A glossy coated sheet makes photos look crisp and a matte or uncoated stock makes type feel warmer. I ask the printer for a sample of the stock when the color matters, so the approved look is the one that prints.

Brochure Layout Rules

How I lay out a fold

A tri-fold reads in the order the panels open, so the front panel carries the one promise and the inside panels carry the proof. I keep body text at a size a reader can hold at arm's length and set line lengths that stay comfortable on a narrow panel.

Photos are placed at the size they will print, with resolution checked before placement. A photo that is too small looks soft on the sheet even when it looks sharp on a laptop, so the file gets checked at print size, not at screen size.

Brochure Printing Options

What the printer needs from me

A printer can only print what the file contains. Each of these items goes with the job, so the printer does not have to guess at anything.

  1. Step 01

    Bleed and crop marks

Extra image beyond the trim line and marks at each corner, so the cut lands where the design says it will.

  2. Step 02

    Fonts converted or embedded

Every font in the file is embedded or outlined, so the printer sees the same type I set.

  3. Step 03

    A color specification

The printed values for each brand color, written out, with the printer's color profile named.

  4. Step 04

    A fold and trim diagram

A one-page drawing of the sheet, showing the panels, the fold lines and the trim.

Brochure Design Ownership

Files you keep after the run

A brochure is reprinted for years, so the files matter as much as the first run. You get the editable source, the print-ready PDF and a usage sheet, all kept in an account you can open. A reprint with a new phone number should be a one-line edit, not a new design job.

Your team can change text in the source file with the fonts and colors already set. I show the person who will make the edits how the file is built, so the next change does not depend on my calendar.

One person sets up the file

I am Justin Harris. I have built websites and run digital marketing for Las Vegas businesses for fourteen years, and I still set up the print files myself. When you hire me you talk to the person laying out the piece and checking the proof, with no hand-off in between.

The brand that appears on the brochure is the same brand file the website uses, so a prospect who reads the brochure and then opens the site meets one business, not two.
