Education Advertising
Ad Spend Traced to Inquiries
Education advertising for schools and training programs, timed to application deadlines and measured to the inquiries and tours each campaign produces. I make no promises about enrollment, only about what I can trace.

Why School Ad Spend Goes Untraced
Spend with no line to enrollment
A school usually buys ads in bursts: a search campaign before an open house, a social campaign before a deadline, a print piece for a fair. Each burst reports clicks and form fills. The report ends before the tour, and the tour ends before the application, so the admissions team cannot say which burst filled a seat.
The result is spend that continues because stopping feels riskier than continuing. The owner has no number that says what a campaign produced, only a number that says how many people saw it.

How I Plan Education Campaigns
Backward from each deadline
I plan each campaign backward from the application deadline and the start date it serves. A program that starts in one term needs its campaign running weeks before the deadline, and a campaign that runs after the deadline only produces inquiries that cannot enroll in time. Each campaign gets a start date, an end date and a tracked path to the application.

- A campaign calendar built from each intake and deadline
- A tracked link or number on every ad, so each inquiry carries its source
- A landing page for each program, not a general school page
- A request path that books a tour or starts an application
- A review of inquiry quality each week during the campaign
Enrollment Season Campaign Calendar
Timing each campaign to the term
| Campaign type | When it runs | What it tracks |
|---|---|---|
| Search for a named program | Ahead of each intake deadline | Inquiries and tours by program |
| Open house promotion | Two to four weeks before the event | Event registrations and attendance |
| Retargeting for visitors | After a program page visit, for a set window | Return visits and tour bookings |
| Social campaign for an audience | During the active enrollment period | Inquiries from the post or ad |
| Print or fair follow-up | In the weeks after the event | Inquiries that name the event |
Inquiry Quality Review for Schools
Checking inquiries before the budget moves
An inquiry is not an enrollment. I read the inquiries each week during a campaign and sort them by fit: the program they asked about, whether they meet the entry requirements, and whether they reached a tour. A campaign that brings many inquiries from people who cannot enroll is a campaign to change, not one to celebrate.
The review sends the admissions team a short list each week, with the search terms, the ad groups and the audiences that produced the poor fits, so the change can be made the same week.

Advertising Rules for Schools
Claims and audiences need care
Schools advertise under rules that marketing has to respect. Claims about accreditation, licensing, outcomes and placement have to be true and supportable, and the school's leadership and counsel decide which claims it may make. Ad platforms also review education and training ads and restrict some programs and claims, so each campaign is checked against the current policy before it runs.
Student records are protected under FERPA, and children under 13 are covered by COPPA. Ads do not target enrolled students or minors, and no student record goes into an ad audience. These are marketing considerations, and whether a claim or an audience is lawful is the school's counsel's call.

Platforms That Fit Program Ads
Where each ad type lives
Search ads reach people who already want a program. Social ads reach people who may not know the school yet, and they need a clearer offer and a stronger reason to click. Maps and listing ads reach families who are nearby and ready to visit. I choose the channel from the decision the family is making, not from the channel the vendor prefers.

- Search ads for named programs and intake deadlines
- Social ads for open houses and information sessions
- Maps and listing ads for campus visits
- Retargeting limited to adults who visited a program page
- Email to inquiries who asked for more information
Closest Education Ad Work I Have
No school campaign claimed
I do not have a school or training program campaign to show you, and I will not claim one. The closest work in the portfolio is brand and content work for other clients, and the closest web design work is my own WebVegas brand, which is not a school. What I bring to an education campaign is the method: a dated calendar, tracked inquiries and a weekly quality review.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we reached out to Justin for some AI consulting advice on where our service business could actually use automation. He was straightforward about what made sense and what didn't. Ended up being a useful conversation. Las Vegas has no shortage of people claiming to be experts, and he's one of the few who could back it up.

Knew Justin before he started building AI systems for businesses, and watching what he's put together is genuinely impressive. He built out an AI automation setup for my website in Las Vegas and it changed how we handle leads completely. The guy actually runs this stuff himself, so he knows what works.

How Education Advertising Runs
Plan, launch, review, adjust
- Step 01
Map the intake calendar
I list each program's intake dates, deadlines and open houses, then build the campaign calendar backward from them.
- Step 02
Set up the tracking first
Tracked links, call numbers and the source field go in before any ad runs, so each inquiry carries its origin.
- Step 03
Launch after policy checks
Each ad is checked against the platform policy and the school's claim list before it goes live.
- Step 04
Review inquiry fit weekly
Each week I sort the inquiries by fit and send the admissions team the changes the poor fits point to.
- Step 05
Close the season with a readout
At the end of the campaign I send the full readout, from inquiry to enrollment, and the recommendation for the next season.
What Moves an Education Ad Quote
Scope, not a price list
I quote a fixed price for a written scope after I have looked at your programs, your intake calendar and your inquiry path. A school running two campaigns a year is a different job from one running a campaign for each intake across several campuses. These are the factors that move the number, so you can judge any quote, mine included.

- How many programs and intake dates each year
- How many channels and campaigns run in each season
- Ad creative the school can supply, and how much I need to produce
- Connections to the inquiry system or the enrollment record
- Reporting depth, from a monthly readout to a full inquiry funnel

One person from plan to readout
I am Justin Harris. I have built websites and run digital marketing for Las Vegas businesses for fourteen years, and I still do the work myself. You own the domain, the hosting and every login, and your team can pause a campaign or change an intake date without calling me.
