Why Advisor Websites Miss Prospect Meetings

Handsome pages, no prospect meetings

An advisor website can look finished and still lose the meeting. The disclosures are buried or missing, the first step of the meeting request asks for too much, and the phone number sits in the footer. The firm pays for the build and cannot see which visit became a discovery call, or whether a visitor who asked to talk was ever answered.

The fix is rarely a full redesign. It is usually a clearer first step, a disclosure that reads well and a booking path that works on the phone the prospect is holding.

What Prospects Check on an Advisor Site

Credentials, approach and a simple next step

A prospect in Las Vegas, often on a phone at lunch, looks for who the advisor is, how they work and where the firm is. They look for a clear way to ask a question and a way to book a first meeting in a minute. A business owner checking a firm on a desktop looks for the planning topics that match their stage, a bio with real credentials and the firm's disclosures.

Disclosures That Fit the Layout

Disclosures placed where they belong

The firm's compliance team decides what a disclosure says and where it appears. My job is the layout: the disclosure sits in the footer and near the claims it qualifies, in a size a reader can actually read, and it never covers the meeting button on a phone.

I do not write disclosure language, and I do not decide whether a page is compliant. Changes to disclosures go through the firm's review before they go live, and the scope names who approves each page.

Advisor Website Pages I Build

Pages only an advisor site needs

Most firm sites need four or five of these pages. Each one is approved before it goes live.

Advisor bio page

Credentials, approach and the firm's registration details, written from the advisor's own record and approved by the firm.

Planning topic pages

Pages on retirement income, business succession and education savings, written at a level a prospect can use.

Meeting request page

A short request that asks for a name, a contact method and a time, with the calendar booking below it on a phone.

Disclosure footer

The firm's disclosures sit where a reader expects them and stay readable on every page.

Las Vegas location page

Where the firm is, which neighborhoods it serves and how to meet, with the address matched to the business profile.

Phone and first question

A phone number that is one tap on a phone, with office hours and a line for the first question.

What Moves an Advisor Website Cost

Pages, approvals and booking

The scope depends on the number of pages, how many review rounds the firm's compliance team needs and whether the meeting booking connects to a calendar tool. I quote a fixed price for a written scope after a free look, not from a chart.

The Closest Website Work I Have

Web design work, none of it for an advisor

The closest website work I have is WebVegas, my own Las Vegas web design brand, with a four-step booking form that hands each lead a free design walkthrough. It is not a financial firm, and I claim no advisor site result.

What carries over is the method: the phone view first, a booking step that is easy to finish, and every form routed to the person who books the meeting.

Builds I made, live where you can check

Every build below is real and every link goes to the live work. Two of the five are full websites I built and still run. The other three are brand and content work, two of them for sites that are in build now, and each card says which.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we reached out to Justin for some AI consulting advice on where our service business could actually use automation. He was straightforward about what made sense and what didn't. Ended up being a useful conversation. Las Vegas has no shortage of people claiming to be experts, and he's one of the few who could back it up.

Knew Justin before he started building AI systems for businesses, and watching what he's put together is genuinely impressive. He built out an AI automation setup for my website in Las Vegas and it changed how we handle leads completely. The guy actually runs this stuff himself, so he knows what works.

Advisor Site Readout

Visits, requests and meetings

The readout shows visits by page and source, meeting requests by page, and the discovery calls that came from the site, matched to the calendar the firm keeps. Every number names where it came from.

The first readout is usually the most useful one, because it shows which page brought a meeting request and which page got visits but no request. The next readout shows whether the change that followed worked.

How a Firm Site Build Runs

Look, approve, build, launch

Each step ends with something you can open and check, and the launch date is written into the scope before work starts.

  1. Step 01

    Look at the current site

I grade the site and send a written read before any work is scoped.

  2. Step 02

    Agree the pages and approvals

Pages, booking tool and the firm's review steps on one scope.

  3. Step 03

    Design and write

You review real pages in a browser, and each page goes to the firm for approval.

  4. Step 04

    Build, test and launch

Forms and booking are tested on a phone, and redirects keep the old search history.
