Headless CMS Development Las Vegas
Editors who never wait on a developer
I do headless CMS development in Las Vegas myself, building headless sites for Valley firms and writing down who edits what before any code. The content system, code and hosting stay in the owner's name.

Headless CMS Development
Marketing waits on developers for every page
A headless setup splits a website in two. Editors write in a content system such as Contentful, Sanity, Strapi or Payload. A separate front end, often built in Next.js, reads that content and draws the pages. The pitch is speed, flexibility and one set of content feeding a site, an app and a kiosk.
The problem I am called to look at is what happens when the split is built carelessly. The marketing team asks for a new landing page and is told it needs a developer, because the page layout lives in code and the CMS only holds text. A headline change takes a ticket. A preview does not match the live page.

Is a Headless CMS Worth It?
What a headless build must earn
The company is paying for a content system and a hosting platform and a developer retainer, and the page count has gone down. A headless build is worth its extra parts only if it makes someone's work easier.
Each extra part is another bill, another login and another thing that can break on a Friday afternoon, so the benefit has to be something a person on your team would notice in a normal week. If it makes the editors dependent on a developer for every change, it has failed, however fast the pages load.

Headless CMS Development Company Las Vegas
One person who decides who edits what
I am Justin Harris. I have worked in Las Vegas digital marketing for fourteen years and I build the site myself. On a headless project the first thing I write is a plain list of who edits what: which parts of a page an editor can change alone, which need a developer and why.
If that list is long on the developer side, I question whether headless is the right choice. You own every piece. The content system account, the front-end code repository, the hosting and the domain are all in your name from the first day.
My portfolio shows a Next.js site I built, and it does not show a Contentful or Sanity project, so I do not claim one.

GIOSTAR: the clinic website, booking and lead tracking
I built and run giostarwellness.com for a regenerative medicine and wellness clinic in Henderson: every service page, online booking, financing and a blog. A website lead is tracked end to end, from the form to a booked consult to an active patient, with no manual steps. I also built its live brand hub, so every page, post and print piece pulls the same colours, type and rules.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

From what I've seen, Justin knows the AI automation space better than most people I've come across in Las Vegas. He's the kind of person who actually understands the technical side and can explain it without making you feel lost. Good guy, good reputation.

I've Known Justin for a while now and he really knows his stuff when it comes to AI consulting. If people in Las Vegas were to ask me for recommendations in this space, he's the best guy for the job, hands down.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we reached out to Justin for some AI consulting advice on where our service business could actually use automation. He was straightforward about what made sense and what didn't. Ended up being a useful conversation. Las Vegas has no shortage of people claiming to be experts, and he's one of the few who could back it up.

Known Justin for a few years now. Guy knows the AI space better than most people I've come across, especially here in Las Vegas where there's no shortage of people claiming to be experts. He actually understands how AI automation works at a practical level, not just the theory. The kind of person who gives you a straight answer with kindness and patience

Knew Justin before he started building AI systems for businesses, and watching what he's put together is genuinely impressive. He built out an AI automation setup for my website in Las Vegas and it changed how we handle leads completely. The guy actually runs this stuff himself, so he knows what works.

What I build on a headless stack
Most headless jobs fall into five parts.
Choosing the content system
I compare two or three on your editors' needs, the price of each at your size and how easy it is to leave.
Read more →Content modeling
Page types, blocks and fields planned with the editors, so a new page is assembled from parts without a developer.
The front end
A fast site built in Next.js or another framework that reads the content, with previews that match the live page. See Next.js development for the front end side.
Read more →Previews and publishing
Editors see a draft exactly as it will appear and publish with a click, with a rollback if a change goes wrong.
Moving existing content
Pages and posts from WordPress or another system moved into the new content model, with redirects.
Headless Website Development
Who edits what
This is the table I fill in with the marketing team before any code. It is the best test I know of whether a headless build will work in practice. If the marketing lead reads the list and sees that most of what they do every week sits in the first three lines, the build will probably work.
If they see their own tasks in the developer lines, I will recommend a simpler stack before anything is bought about a simpler stack before anything is bought.

Headless CMS vs WordPress
When headless is worth the cost
| Traditional CMS | Headless CMS | Page builder | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fits when | One site, a modest team, a standard design | Several outputs, strict performance needs, a developer on hand | A small marketing site edited by designers |
| Editor experience | Familiar, can become cluttered | Clean when modeled well | Visual and quick |
| Speed | Depends on hosting and plugins | Very fast when built well | Depends on the builder |
| Cost to keep | Updates and security | Several services to pay and watch | One subscription |
| Main risk | Plugin sprawl | Editors depend on developers | Platform ceiling |
How Long Does Headless CMS Development Take?
How a build runs
Every headless project runs five steps.
- Step 01
Decide whether headless fits
A written recommendation, which sometimes says no.
- Step 02
Model the content
Page types and fields drawn with the editors.
- Step 03
Agree the scope
Systems, pages, integrations and a date on one page.
- Step 04
Build and preview
The front end and the editor preview, tested by an editor making real changes.
- Step 05
Launch and hand over
Redirects, a recorded walkthrough, a note on every service and who pays for it.
How Much Does Headless CMS Development Cost?
What moves the price
I quote a fixed price for a written scope. A headless site has several recurring subscriptions that are billed to you directly, separate from my fee, so I list each one before you commit.

- The number of page types and blocks the editors need
- Which content system and hosting platform are chosen
- Previews, scheduled publishing and approval steps
- Content to move and the redirects it needs
- Integrations with search, forms, a CRM or commerce
- Training and written documentation for staff
