National SEO

One plan, checked market by market

National SEO means one search plan run across many states and cities, with every market's results checked on their own terms. I write the scope per market and report each one separately, so no market is judged by an average.

National SEO Company

What national work means

National SEO is search work for a company that serves more than one state, city or region. The company has one brand, one set of services and a set of places where it sells. The search results in each of those places are different, with different competitors, different listings and different words people type.

A national plan has to be one plan and many markets at the same time. The strategy holds steady across the country, and the work inside each market is written for that market's searches, pages and listings.

Look for a firm that has managed a multi-location site from the inside. The questions it asks about franchise rules, local staff and listing ownership tell you whether it understands the operating side of a national brand.

National SEO Strategy

One plan, many markets

The strategy is written once, then split into a scope for each market. It sets the site structure, the content themes, the listing rules and the measurement that every market shares. Each market then gets its own keyword set, its own local pages where they are needed and its own readout.

The split is what keeps a national plan honest. A market that gets more calls from its listings and a market that gets more visits from its service pages are both visible, and neither one is averaged into the other.

The strategy starts with a market map, then a template that every market can use, then the local layer that makes each market different. Doing those in that order keeps the brand consistent and stops the local pages from drifting into thin copies.

Best National SEO

What a national plan must include

A national plan that works has the parts below, and each one can be read in the monthly report. A plan missing any of them is a set of pages, not a strategy.

The best national SEO plan is measured one market at a time. A brand that reports one blended ranking number cannot tell which location is losing ground, and the plan cannot fix what it cannot see.

An owner at work in a modern office
  • A shared site structure with one page per service and a page per market where demand justifies it
  • A written scope for each market, with its keywords, competitors and listings
  • Local listings for every location, kept consistent in name, address and phone
  • Reviews requested and answered at each location on a set schedule
  • A readout by market, so the weakest market is named as clearly as the strongest

National SEO Services

What I do on a national plan

Keyword research by market

A keyword set for each market, built from the searches people actually type there, not a copy of the national list.

Page architecture

A site map that shares one structure across markets and adds market pages where the searches support them.

Local listings

Every location's profile kept consistent in name, address, phone and category, with changes logged.

Technical audits

Crawls, redirects and page speed checked across the site, with the errors listed by market.

Content briefs

A written brief for each page, built from the questions buyers ask in that market.

Monthly readout

Results by market, with the markets that lag named as plainly as the ones that lead.

Why Generic National SEO Fails

The copy that reads the same everywhere

The usual failure is one set of pages copied across every city with the place name swapped in. Search engines see thin pages that say nothing a local buyer did not already know, and the buyer sees a company that does not know their town. The pages rank poorly, and the owner cannot tell whether the problem is the strategy or the execution.

A national plan avoids that by writing the local detail where the buyers need it, and by leaving out pages that have no real search behind them. A market with no demand gets a listing and a short page, not a city template.

Generic plans fail because they treat markets as interchangeable. The same blog post, the same offer and the same photo appear in forty places, and search engines and shoppers both lose interest. A market plan needs at least one piece of local detail on every page that is actually true.

National SEO Cost

What moves the price

I quote a fixed price for a written national scope after I have seen the site, the markets and the current listings. I do not publish a number, because the total moves with how many markets are in the plan and how much each one needs.

Cost depends on the number of markets, the number of pages each market needs and how much local content has to be written from scratch. I quote the work per market so the owner can start with a small set and add markets as the results justify it.

A business owner reviewing work on a phone
  • How many markets the plan covers and how much search demand each one has
  • How many locations need their own listing, review plan and page
  • How large the site is and how much of it needs rebuilding
  • How much content must be written, from briefs to finished pages
  • How often the readout is sent and how much detail each market gets

Market Demand Research

How a market gets chosen

A market goes into the plan when people in it search for the service, and when the company can serve them there. Search volume is only the first check. I also look at how many competitors hold the top results, how many listings the market already has and whether the company's own offer fits what buyers in that place want.

The result is a ranked list of markets with a short reason for each one. Some markets go in the first round, some wait for a later one, and a few stay out because the demand is too thin to justify a page set.

Demand research checks the searches people actually make in each market before a page is written. A market with few searches may need a shared page that covers the region rather than a page of its own.

Location Listings Across Markets

Every location in its own profile

Each physical location needs its own business profile, with the same name, address and phone in every listing that carries it. A mismatch between listings is one of the most common reasons a location is hard to find, and it is also the easiest to fix once it is measured.

Categories, hours, photos and service areas are set per location. Review requests are sent in the location's own name, and replies are written for that location's patients or customers rather than copied from a national template.

Each location needs a complete, correct listing with the same name, address and phone number used on its market page. A listing that shows an old address or a closed suite can undo the work of a good page.

A storefront street in the Valley

Reporting by Market

What the monthly report shows

The monthly report opens with a table of every market, the calls, form fills and visits it produced, and the change from the month before. Each market then has its own short section with the keywords that moved, the listings that changed and the one action planned for it.

The report also names the markets that did not move and why I think that is. A market can stay flat for a season because of competition, and the report says so instead of hiding the market in the average.

Reports are split by market, then rolled up for the brand. That lets a regional manager see the market they are responsible for and lets the central team spot a market that needs help before the drop shows up in revenue.

National SEO Content Plan

Pages written for each market

Content for a national plan starts from the questions buyers ask in each market, not from a single list copied everywhere. A service page carries the national offer and the local detail the market needs, such as the neighborhoods served, the local hours and the insurance or payment options that matter there.

Briefs are written before any page is drafted, and each page is checked against its brief for thin copy, duplicate text across markets and claims that the business cannot support.

The content plan lists the topics every market should cover and the topics that belong to one market only. The shared topics are written once and adapted, and the local topics are written from the market's own facts.

GIOSTAR: the clinic website, booking and lead tracking

I built and run giostarwellness.com for a regenerative medicine and wellness clinic in Henderson: every service page, online booking, financing and a blog. A website lead is tracked end to end, from the form to a booked consult to an active patient, with no manual steps. I also built its live brand hub, so every page, post and print piece pulls the same colours, type and rules.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

Site Structure for Many Markets

One structure with room for markets

A site with many markets needs a structure that can grow without turning into a maze. The service pages sit at the top level, the market pages sit beneath the services they support, and every page links back to its parent. A visitor and a search engine can then follow the same path from a city to the service they need.

Duplicate pages are the risk. Two market pages with the same text under different place names are treated as one, so each market page is written from its own facts or left out of the site.

A clear folder structure keeps the crawl easy to follow. Each market sits in one place, its services sit under it and the brand pages link down to each market without crossing into another market's folder.

GIOSTAR brand hub, a system I built

Reviews by Location

Requests sent in each location's name

Reviews are asked for at each location, in that location's name, after a visit or a completed job. The request is simple, and the replies are written by the location's team with my edits, so each one reads as coming from the place that earned it.

Each market page shows the reviews written for that location, with a link to the profile where the rest can be read. Pooled reviews make every market look like the average of the others.

A business owner reviewing work on a phone

Measuring Calls by Location

Each number tied to its market

Calls are the result most owners care about, and they are the hardest to split by market when every location shares one phone number. Each market gets a tracking number on its own pages and listings where the platform allows it, so a call can be traced to the market that produced it.

Where a tracking number is not safe to use on a listing, the call is credited through the page the caller visited and the time of the call. The readout labels which method was used for each market, so the numbers are never mixed without a note. Every method is written into the scope before the first month, so a change of method is visible in the report rather than discovered later.

National SEO Process

How a national plan runs

  1. Step 01

    Choose the markets

The markets are listed by demand and by business value, and the ones in the plan are agreed in writing.

  2. Step 02

    Map the site

One structure is set for the whole site, with market pages added only where the searches support them.

  3. Step 03

    Build each market

Keywords, listings and pages are built for each market in turn, with its own scope and its own checks.

  4. Step 04

    Measure by market

Results are read per market each month, and a market that falls behind gets its own review.

Who National SEO Suits

Companies with more than one market

National SEO fits a company that sells the same service in several places and needs each place to be found. It fits poorly when the business is one location with one market, where local SEO is the simpler and less expensive route.

A national plan suits a brand that already has several locations and a clear way to make local decisions. A single-location business with one office gets more from a focused local plan than from a national structure built for dozens of markets.

A storefront street in the Valley
  • A multi-location clinic group or practice with an office in each city
  • A franchise or regional brand that wants each location to be found by name
  • A company selling a national service online with a few physical markets
  • A business entering several states that needs each market scoped before it spends

National SEO Near Me

Remote work with local detail

I work from Las Vegas and run most national plans remotely, with calls and written readouts. Where a market needs a visit, I can plan one. For the Valley, the local markets I know best are Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Summerlin, Spring Valley, Paradise, Enterprise, Sunrise Manor and Boulder City, and each one shows up in the scope as its own market.

National SEO Beside Other Services

The work that sits next to a plan

A national plan usually touches a migration, a paid campaign and the local search work for each market. These are the services I offer beside it, each with its own page.

Scope a National Plan

Markets listed before work starts

Send me the list of markets, the services you sell in each and the sites you already run. I will reply with a written read of the markets that have the most demand, the scope I would set for each one and the first thing I would fix.
