Geofencing Marketing
Ads for the people nearby
Geofencing marketing draws a boundary around a place and shows ads to phones inside it. I design the fence, write the ads and measure the visits, so the spend has a count you can read.

Geofencing Advertising
What a geofence does
A geofence is a boundary drawn on a map, around a building, a parking lot, a neighborhood or a competitor's address. When a phone with the right permissions enters that boundary, the platform can show an ad to it. The ad can run in the apps and sites that phone uses, for a set period.
The fence decides who can see the ad. The ad decides what they do next. Most of the work is in choosing the boundary and in tracking what happens after someone sees it.

Types of Geofencing Marketing
Four ways to draw a fence
Store radius
A fence around your own location, aimed at people who are close enough to visit this week.
Competitor locations
A fence around another business's address, so the ad reaches people who have just been there. Legal review of the platform's rules comes first.
Event venues
A fence around a convention center, arena or stadium for the days of an event, with the ad timed to the crowd.
Neighborhood zones
A fence around a set of ZIP codes or neighborhoods where your customers already live, work or shop.
Geofence Design for a Local Business
How the boundary gets drawn
A fence drawn too wide reaches people who will never drive to you. A fence drawn too tight misses the parking lot next door. I draw the boundary from the drive times your customers actually take, the roads that lead to the site and the places where people already stop nearby.
Each fence gets a name that says what it is, so the readout can show which boundary produced the visit.

Geofencing Marketing Services
What I do on a geofence buy
- Step 01
Fence design
Boundaries drawn from drive times and real locations, with a written reason for each one.
- Step 02
Ad creative
One offer per fence, with a landing page that matches the place the ad came from.
- Step 03
Visit measurement
Visits to your location, calls and form fills counted by fence, using the methods the platform allows.
- Step 04
Monthly readout
A plain report by fence, with the fences that did not work named as plainly as the ones that did.
Geofencing Through a Platform
Accounts opened under the owner name
Geofencing runs on a platform, and the account should be in your name. You keep the fences, the creative and the data the platform allows you to export. I do not run geofencing through an account that you cannot open yourself, and the platform terms come with the plan for you to read before any money moves.
Visit data depends on what the platform permits. Phone privacy rules limit what location data any platform can use, and some visit counts come as estimates. I say which numbers are measured and which are modeled.

Best Geofencing Marketing
How the options compare
| Self-serve platform | Large agency | Me | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who sets up the fences | You, by trial and error | A team you rarely meet | Me, from a written plan |
| Who owns the account | You | Often the agency | You, from day one |
| What you can check | The platform's own dashboard | A monthly deck | Fences, visits and calls by fence |
| Changes after launch | Slow until you learn the tool | A ticket and a wait | I adjust the fence and the offer |
Fence-Design and Store-Visit Measurement
How a visit gets counted
A store visit is hard to prove, so the readout separates what was measured from what was estimated. Visits to your location come from the platform's location reporting. Calls come from a tracking number used only in that campaign. Form fills come from a landing page built for the fence.

- Visits to your location, reported by the platform with its method stated
- Calls on a tracking number used only for the geofence campaign
- Form fills on a landing page built for each offer
- Visits per fence, so the boundary that worked is named
- A line for anything the platform only estimates

GIOSTAR: the clinic website, booking and lead tracking
I built and run giostarwellness.com for a regenerative medicine and wellness clinic in Henderson: every service page, online booking, financing and a blog. A website lead is tracked end to end, from the form to a booked consult to an active patient, with no manual steps. I also built its live brand hub, so every page, post and print piece pulls the same colours, type and rules.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we reached out to Justin for some AI consulting advice on where our service business could actually use automation. He was straightforward about what made sense and what didn't. Ended up being a useful conversation. Las Vegas has no shortage of people claiming to be experts, and he's one of the few who could back it up.

Known Justin for a few years now. Guy knows the AI space better than most people I've come across, especially here in Las Vegas where there's no shortage of people claiming to be experts. He actually understands how AI automation works at a practical level, not just the theory. The kind of person who gives you a straight answer with kindness and patience

Knew Justin before he started building AI systems for businesses, and watching what he's put together is genuinely impressive. He built out an AI automation setup for my website in Las Vegas and it changed how we handle leads completely. The guy actually runs this stuff himself, so he knows what works.

Who Geofencing Suits
Where a fence earns its cost
Geofencing fits a business with a physical location, a clear offer and customers who visit in person. It fits poorly when the business takes most of its sales online or serves a region too wide for a fence to matter.

- A clinic, store or office with a fixed address and visitors who drive in
- A business with a busy competitor nearby and an offer that answers its visitors
- An event venue or a seasonal location that needs a short, timed push
- A brand with a few locations that wants each one measured on its own
What Geofencing Marketing Costs
What moves the price
I quote my planning and measurement work as a fixed price for a written scope. The media budget is paid to the platform and shown as its own line. I do not publish a number, because the fence size, the number of fences and the length of the run change the total.

- How many fences the plan needs and how large each one is
- How many locations and offers the readout must separate
- How long each fence runs and how often it is changed
- How many landing pages and tracking numbers must be built
