Nonprofit SEO

Search that brings supporters in

Nonprofit SEO is the work of making the organization's programs, mission and donate pages easy to find for the people who search for them. I build the pages, keep the listing accurate and show you which pages brought each donor and volunteer.

Work I built, live where you can check it

Every build below is real and every link goes to the live work. None of the five is a nonprofit, and I do not claim nonprofit search results. Two are full websites I built and still run. The Desert Inn Oasis work is a brand for a Las Vegas event venue, and the other two are brand and content work.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

Nonprofit SEO Services

What search work covers

Nonprofit search work breaks into three parts, and I run the ones the organization needs. The first is the pages: programs, the mission, the donate route and the volunteer route, each written to answer a question a real person types. The second is the listing: the name, address, hours and programs on the organization's Google Business Profile, kept identical to the site. The third is the measurement that shows which pages brought a donation or a sign-up.

Each part has its own written scope, so the board can see what is included before anything changes.

Nonprofit SEO Company

One person who does the work

The person who audits the search presence is the person who writes the program pages and reads the monthly numbers. There is no handoff between a strategist and a writer, and no junior person changing a page your board has approved.

I have worked in Las Vegas digital marketing for fourteen years and I do the work myself. You own the domain, the hosting and every login from the first day.

Nonprofit SEO Cost

What moves the scope

I quote a fixed price for a written scope after I have read the current site and the listing. The number you agree to is the number you pay, and it changes only with a written change.

What a strong nonprofit search presence contains

A strong nonprofit search presence answers the questions people type. Program pages say who the program serves, where it runs and how to take part. The mission page says what the organization does and why. The donate page says where the money goes. The listing matches the site word for word, and the reports name the pages behind each gift and sign-up.

Nonprofit SEO Process

How the work runs

Each step ends with something you can open and read. The launch date goes into the written scope before any page changes.

1. Read the current search presence

I read the site, the listing and the pages people land on, and I note where the name, address and programs disagree.

2. Agree the scope in writing

Pages, listing edits, tracking and the report go on one page. Changes land there first.

3. Write and build the pages

I write the program, mission and donate pages in plain language and build them so the board can review them in a browser.

4. Check the basics

I test how the pages load on a phone, whether Google can read them, whether old addresses redirect, and whether gifts and sign-ups arrive.

5. Report each month

Each month you get a note on the pages that brought gifts and sign-ups, the listing changes I made and what I plan next.

Mission and Program Pages

The pages people search for

People search for a need, not for a nonprofit's name. A parent looks for free tutoring near them. A volunteer looks for a weekend shift. A donor looks for a cause they already care about, and a grant officer looks for proof that the organization does what it says. Each of those searches needs a page that says what the program is, who it serves, where it runs and how to take part.

Program pages also link to the donate route and the volunteer route in plain words, so a reader who came for information can act on it without hunting.

Local Search for Nonprofits

An organization that serves a city, a county or several neighborhoods is searched by place. The local work is to name those places on the pages where they matter, keep the listing accurate for each location, and ask for reviews from the people the programs serve, only where they choose to give them. I apply the same local search work I do for other local services.

    Local SEO services

Place-based listing and page work for organizations that serve a defined area.

Nonprofit SEO Listing

The listing people see first

The Google Business Profile often shows the address, hours and programs before the website does. I make the listing match the site on name, address and phone, choose accurate categories, and upload current photos of the programs in use, with consent from anyone shown. Reviews are a choice people make, so I make it easy to leave one and reply to every one I can see.

Nonprofit SEO Pages for Grants

Proof for grant officers

Grant officers search for an organization before they read its proposal. They look for the mission, the programs, the people served and a clear statement of how the money is used. A page that holds those facts in text, with a current annual report linked from it, makes that check quick. I write the facts from the organization's own reports and do not add numbers the organization has not confirmed.

WebVegas homepage, a website I built

Nonprofit SEO Pricing

How I price the work

I do not publish a rate card, because a single program site and a multi-branch organization need different scopes. You get the scope and the price in writing after I read the current site. The price covers the audit, the pages, the listing work, the tracking and the first reports. It does not cover ad spend.

An owner at work in a modern office

Nonprofit SEO Tracking

How I show what it did

The report lists each page that brought a gift, a sign-up or a request for information, the listing changes with their dates, and the changes that did not help. If a form or a donation tool cannot pass the source of a gift, the report marks it as untraced rather than counting it for the search work.
