Website Hosting and Maintenance Las Vegas

Hosting and upkeep you can follow

Website hosting and maintenance Las Vegas starts with naming which fix your site needs. A slow site, a hacked site, an outdated site and an unmanaged site each need a different first step, so I find yours, put the hosting account in your name and write down every change.

Which fix matches my site

Most owners who call me about hosting and maintenance are not shopping for a plan. Something has happened. The site is slow, it was hacked, nobody has touched it in a year, or it runs on a platform nobody on staff can edit. Each of those needs a different first step, so I start by naming which one you have.

What Website Hosting and Maintenance Covers

What the account and the upkeep include

Hosting is the server space that keeps a site on the internet. Maintenance is everything that happens after launch: software updates, security checks, form and tracking tests, and content changes. Many owners pay for one and assume the other is handled. Usually neither is written down.

I keep both in one written scope. The scope names the host, the account owner, the update schedule and who answers when something breaks. You get a copy, and every login goes to you.

The plan also covers the small items that get missed: renewal dates for the domain and the certificate, the contact address that receives alerts, and the backup the host keeps. Each one has an owner and a date on the monthly note.

What moves the price

I quote a fixed price for a written scope, so the number you agree to is the number you pay. These are the things that move it.

The price moves with the number of pages, the number of forms and bookings that must keep working, whether an online store is involved and how much content gets written or changed each month. A site with ten pages and one form costs less to keep running than a site with a store, a booking tool and a blog.

A storefront street in the Valley
  • How many pages and forms the site has
  • Which platform it runs on and how old its software is
  • Whether it needs a one-time fix before any upkeep starts
  • How many people edit the site and how often
  • Whether a store, booking system or patient form connects to it

Who Should Hold the Website Hosting Account

Whose name is on the account

This question makes most owners call me. A web host, a builder or a former agency often holds the account in its own name, and the owner finds out only when they try to leave. The hosting is in your name, or handed over on request, and you get every login on day one.

If the account is in someone else's name today, the first step is a written list of what sits in that account: the domain, the host, the email, the forms and the software. Then the transfer can happen in order.

You should be able to log in to the hosting account, the domain account and the analytics account without asking anyone for a password. I set up that access on day one and write down where each login lives.

What to Do When a Website Goes Down

The first hour matters

Start by writing down what you saw and when. Check whether the domain still points to the host, whether the host billing is current, and whether the site loads from a phone on a different network. Then call the person who can act on the account. If that is not me, the written record should name who it is.

If the site is down for everyone, not just for you, the problem is usually at the host or the domain, and the fix is a call to that company with the account holder present. If only one page fails, the cause is almost always a recent change, so the first question is what changed last.

Website Maintenance Plan or One-Time Fix

Which one fits my site

A one-time fix is right when something is broken or outdated and the site otherwise works. A maintenance schedule is right when the site works and the risk is the next update breaking it. Most sites start with a fix, then move to a schedule once the starting point is clean and written down.

Some owners start with a one-time fix and move to a plan a few months later, once they see how often the same small problems return. The fix is not wasted. It becomes the baseline that the plan keeps current.

Website Security and Software Updates

What gets checked each month

Most site problems I see come from software that nobody updated: a plugin, a theme, a form tool or the platform itself. Updates are applied in a set order, with a note of what changed. Forms are sent once after each update to confirm they still deliver, and the admin accounts are reviewed so that only current people hold access.

Security work is limited to the site I maintain. I do not give legal or compliance advice, and I do not promise that a site cannot be attacked. I tell you what I checked, what I changed and what still needs a decision from you.

Updates are tested before they go on the live site. The copy is updated first, the forms and the checkout are tried, and only then does the change move over. An update that breaks a booking form is caught on the copy, not by a customer.

Website Management Company in Las Vegas

One person, not a ticket queue

Many hosts and managed-service companies route a support ticket to a queue. The person who reads the ticket may never have opened the site. When you hire me, the person who reads your request is the person who edits the pages, so the answer comes from someone who knows the site.

I can visit in person when a problem needs a person in the room, but most maintenance is done remotely. I say which tasks need a visit and which do not, so you are not paying for travel to fix a plugin.

How a plan starts

  1. Step 01

    Look at the site

I read the current host, the software and the forms, and send a written read before any payment.

  2. Step 02

    Move the account

If the account is not in your name, I move it and confirm the transfer in writing.

  3. Step 03

    Set the schedule

Updates, checks and the monthly note go on one page, with the day each one happens.

  4. Step 04

    Report each month

A short note lists what changed, what was checked and anything you need to decide.

Work I built and still run

Every build below is real and every link goes to the live work. GIOSTAR is the one I still run: a clinic website in Henderson that I built and run at giostarwellness.com. WebVegas is a full site I designed and built. The other three are brand and content work, and each card says which.

GIOSTAR: the clinic website, booking and lead tracking

I built and run giostarwellness.com for a regenerative medicine and wellness clinic in Henderson: every service page, online booking, financing and a blog. A website lead is tracked end to end, from the form to a booked consult to an active patient, with no manual steps. I also built its live brand hub, so every page, post and print piece pulls the same colours, type and rules.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we reached out to Justin for some AI consulting advice on where our service business could actually use automation. He was straightforward about what made sense and what didn't. Ended up being a useful conversation. Knew Justin before he started building AI systems for businesses, and watching what he's put together is genuinely impressive. He built out an AI automation setup for my website in Las Vegas and it changed how we handle leads completely. The guy actually runs this stuff himself, so he knows what works.
