Drupal the team can safely update
As a Drupal development company of one, I audit Drupal sites for owners and organizations myself, then maintain, upgrade or move them. The hosting, code and every login stay in the owner's name.

A Drupal site nobody on staff can safely update
Drupal sites tend to belong to organizations with complicated content: a university department, a nonprofit, a membership body, a government contractor. Each was built by a developer or small agency who knew the system well.
Years later the bench has thinned. The developer moved on, the agency changed hands, and the remaining staff will not apply an update because the last one broke a page. The site works until a security notice arrives or a new requirement shows up that nobody can estimate.

One person who reads the Drupal site first
I am Justin Harris. I have worked in Las Vegas digital marketing for fourteen years and I do the work myself. No site in my portfolio runs on Drupal, and I will not claim one. What I offer is a method you can check.
I read the site, write down how it is built, rank the risks and give a recommendation: maintain, upgrade or move. The hosting, the code repository, the domain and every login stay in your name.

GIOSTAR: the clinic website, booking and lead tracking
I built and run giostarwellness.com for a regenerative medicine and wellness clinic in Henderson: every service page, online booking, financing and a blog. A website lead is tracked end to end, from the form to a booked consult to an active patient, with no manual steps. I also built its live brand hub, so every page, post and print piece pulls the same colours, type and rules.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

He was always the first one in the office, setting the tone with his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. What stood out most was how deeply he cared about every client. He approached each project with thoughtfulness, expertise, and a genuine drive to deliver meaningful results. He combines sharp technical knowledge with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset, which makes him especially effective in the AI space. From what I've seen, Justin knows the AI automation space better than most people I've come across in Las Vegas. He's the kind of person who actually understands the technical side and can explain it without making you feel lost. Good guy, good reputation.

I've Known Justin for a while now and he really knows his stuff when it comes to AI consulting. If people in Las Vegas were to ask me for recommendations in this space, he's the best guy for the job, hands down.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we reached out to Justin for some AI consulting advice on where our service business could actually use automation. He was straightforward about what made sense and what didn't. Ended up being a useful conversation. Las Vegas has no shortage of people claiming to be experts, and he's one of the few who could back it up.

Known Justin for a few years now. Guy knows the AI space better than most people I've come across, especially here in Las Vegas where there's no shortage of people claiming to be experts. He actually understands how AI automation works at a practical level, not just the theory. The kind of person who gives you a straight answer with kindness and patience

Knew Justin before he started building AI systems for businesses, and watching what he's put together is genuinely impressive. He built out an AI automation setup for my website in Las Vegas and it changed how we handle leads completely. The guy actually runs this stuff himself, so he knows what works.

Drupal Developer Company
What I do on Drupal sites
Drupal work falls into five jobs, and the first decides the rest.
Audit and risk report
Core version, modules, users, hosting and backups, ranked in plain language before you pay anything.
Read more →Security updates
Core and module updates applied on a copy first, then to the live site with a restore point.
Read more →Handover documentation
A written map of content types, views, modules and workflows, kept in a file your team owns.
Upgrade planning
A plan for moving off an unsupported version, with risks, order of work and a rehearsal on a copy.
Moving to another platform
When Drupal no longer fits, I move content and addresses. See WordPress development for a common destination.
Read more →Who Uses Drupal CMS?
Who runs Drupal, and why
Drupal is open source and strong at structured content, user roles and large sites. Universities, government agencies, nonprofits and publishers use it for that reason.
If your site needs many content types, strict permissions or many editors with different rights, Drupal can be the right tool. A twelve page marketing site rarely needs it.

What Is Drupal vs WordPress?
Drupal and WordPress in plain terms
WordPress is quicker to start and easier for most editors. Drupal asks for more setup and gives finer control over content structure and permissions.
Neither is better in general. The right one depends on how many kinds of content you have, who edits them and who will maintain the site in three years.

Is Drupal Still Supported?
What support looks like now
Current Drupal releases, versions 10 and 11, are supported. Drupal 7 reached its official end of life in January 2025, so a Drupal 7 site no longer receives security fixes from the project.
Drupal.org publishes the release and support schedule. I check your version against it in the first hour of an audit.

Drupal Upgrade Options
Maintain, upgrade or move
| Maintain | Upgrade Drupal | Move to another platform | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fits when | Current version, a developer in place | Drupal 7 or an old release with sound structure | The site is simple and staff struggle to run it |
| Main benefit | Least disruption | Security fixes, a supported release | A platform with a larger pool of developers |
| Main risk | The bench thins further | Modules that will not upgrade | Lost structure and search history |
| What I do | Update, document, back up | Plan, rehearse on a copy, switch | Map, move, redirect, test |
| What you hold after | A documented site | A supported site | A site on a platform your team knows |
What the First Drupal Audit Covers
What I check first
The first hour goes into a fixed list.

- The Drupal core version and its support status
- Every contributed and custom module, and whether it is maintained
- User accounts and roles, including former staff
- Backups, and whether anyone has tested a restore
- The PHP version and the hosting plan behind the site
- Page speed on the pages that matter most
How Long Does Drupal Development Take?
How the work runs
Every Drupal job runs five steps.
- Step 01
Audit
A written read of the site with risks ranked, before you pay anything.
- Step 02
Decide
Maintain, upgrade or move, with reasoning and a date on one page.
- Step 03
Work on a copy
Changes happen on a copy you can open and click through.
- Step 04
Switch with a restore point
The live site is switched once the copy passes my tests.
- Step 05
Report
A written record of what changed, who holds access and what comes next.
Drupal Developer Cost
What moves the price
I quote a fixed price for a written scope after the audit. Hosting and any paid modules are billed to you directly. These factors move my side.

- The version Drupal is on and how far it must move
- How many modules need replacing and how much custom code exists
- The number of content types and the size of the content
- Hosting moves and server upgrades
- Redirects needed to protect search history
- Documentation depth and staff training
