Squarespace Web Design

A Squarespace site that cannot do what the practice now needs

Squarespace is a good place to start. The templates are polished, the editor is friendly and hosting, security and updates are handled for you. A solo consultant or a new practice can have a respectable site live quickly, and I would not talk anyone out of that.

The owners who contact me are further along. The practice has grown, and the site is now asked to do things it was not built for: take intake forms with conditional questions, route inquiries to different people, show different content to different buyers, connect to a case or patient system, or load fast on a phone with a lot of photography.

Each workaround adds code injected into the site, and the owner is not sure what any of it does.

Squarespace Export and Reporting Limits

The two quiet problems

Two quiet problems sit on top. Squarespace offers only a partial export, so owners worry that leaving means starting over. And reporting is limited to what the built-in analytics show, which tells you visits but rarely which page produced the inquiry.

My answer starts by sorting those sites into two groups, those that should stay and those that should move.

Squarespace Web Design Services Las Vegas

One person who will tell you to stay if you should

I am Justin Harris. I have built websites and run marketing for Las Vegas businesses for fourteen years, and I do the Squarespace work myself.

My portfolio does not contain a site I can name as Squarespace. It shows two full websites I built and run, and brand and content projects, and I would rather tell you that than invent a client. What I bring to Squarespace is how I work everywhere: read the site first, track what each page produces, and keep everything in your name.

On Squarespace that means the account is yours with me as a contributor you can remove, the domain is registered to you, and any custom code on the site is listed with its purpose.

  • Page-level tracking of inquiries

GIOSTAR: the clinic website, booking and lead tracking

I built and run giostarwellness.com for a regenerative medicine and wellness clinic in Henderson: every service page, online booking, financing and a blog. A website lead is tracked end to end, from the form to a booked consult to an active patient, with no manual steps. I also built its live brand hub, so every page, post and print piece pulls the same colours, type and rules.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

From what I've seen, Justin knows the AI automation space better than most people I've come across in Las Vegas. He's the kind of person who actually understands the technical side and can explain it without making you feel lost. Good guy, good reputation.

I've Known Justin for a while now and he really knows his stuff when it comes to AI consulting. If people in Las Vegas were to ask me for recommendations in this space, he's the best guy for the job, hands down.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we reached out to Justin for some AI consulting advice on where our service business could actually use automation. He was straightforward about what made sense and what didn't. Ended up being a useful conversation. Las Vegas has no shortage of people claiming to be experts, and he's one of the few who could back it up.

Known Justin for a few years now. Guy knows the AI space better than most people I've come across, especially here in Las Vegas where there's no shortage of people claiming to be experts. He actually understands how AI automation works at a practical level, not just the theory. The kind of person who gives you a straight answer with kindness and patience

Knew Justin before he started building AI systems for businesses, and watching what he's put together is genuinely impressive. He built out an AI automation setup for my website in Las Vegas and it changed how we handle leads completely. The guy actually runs this stuff himself, so he knows what works.

Squarespace Web Design Process

How a job runs

Each step leaves something you can look at.

  1. Step 01

    Read the site

Pages, code injections, forms, domain setup and what each page produces.

  2. Step 02

    Agree the scope

Written scope and date on one page.

  3. Step 03

    Design and write

You review real pages, not static mockups.

  4. Step 04

    Connect and test

Every form submitted, every page checked on phones, speed and accessibility measured.

  5. Step 05

    Launch and report

Redirects in place, then a monthly report of visits and inquiries per page.

Squarespace Web Design Cost

What moves the price

How much does Squarespace design cost? It depends on the scope, and I quote a fixed price for a written scope. Squarespace Web Design Pricing also includes the platform's own plan, which you pay to Squarespace directly.

Affordable Squarespace Web Design Las Vegas

What affordable means

For many small practices Squarespace is the affordable route, because hosting and security are included. I keep the job right-sized: if three pages and a clean contact form are all you need, that is what I scope.

The free part is a look at the site you have. I grade it, test it on a phone and send the three changes I would make first.

Why one designer

A single person who designs, writes the copy, connects the forms and answers for the site means nothing gets dropped between roles. See my web design page for how that works across platforms.

Ask any designer who owns the account, what code is injected and how they would show you which page produced an inquiry.

Squarespace Developer

What I check before I add any code

Squarespace lets a developer inject custom code, and it is tempting to solve every limit that way. Each snippet is something nobody else can see in the editor, and a template update can break it without warning.

Before I add any, I ask whether a built-in setting does the job, whether a different layout does, or whether the need is big enough that the site should move.

When code is justified, I keep it short, comment it with its purpose and the date, and list it in a one-page document that goes to you. If you ever hire another designer, they can see in a minute what is on the site.

Squarespace Account and Domain Checks

The unglamorous checks

I also check the unglamorous parts: that the domain is registered to you and not to a previous designer, that the billing email is yours, that two-step login is on, and that the contact form reaches a real inbox that someone reads. A surprising number of inquiries are lost to a form that has been sending to an old address for a year.

None of this is exciting. It is what makes a Squarespace site something you can leave alone for a season and trust.
