Headshot Photography Las Vegas

One session, one consistent look

I do headshot photography in Las Vegas for professionals, owners and whole teams. Everyone in a session gets the same light, the same background and the same retouching, so the photos look like one company on one site.

Why headshots look stiff and mismatched

Photos taken on different days

Most company teams have headshots that were taken years apart, by four different people, in four different rooms. One person is lit from the left and another is shot against a grey wall. The site ends up with a page of faces that do not look like they belong to the same business.

Stiff photos come from the session, not the subject. A person who is told to stand straight and smile on a timer looks like a passport photo. A session that starts with a conversation and a few easy poses gets the real expression, and that is the one a buyer trusts when they read the bio beside it.

How headshot photography sessions run

One session, one look, one file set

Every session uses the same light setup, the same background and the same color treatment for everyone in it. That is the only way a team of ten can share one page without the photos fighting each other. I set the light before the first person arrives and I do not change it between sitters.

Each person gets a short warm-up, a few poses chosen for their role, and a set of frames to choose from. I send the selects within a few business days, retouched to a light, natural standard, with the same crop and file sizes for the whole team, so the page looks consistent when it goes live.

Work I built, live where you can check it

Headshots end up on the team page, the homepage and the profile card, so the closest work I have is the sites and brand systems those photos live in. Each card says what was delivered and which pieces are still in build.

GIOSTAR: the clinic website, booking and lead tracking

I built and run giostarwellness.com for a regenerative medicine and wellness clinic in Henderson: every service page, online booking, financing and a blog. A website lead is tracked end to end, from the form to a booked consult to an active patient, with no manual steps. I also built its live brand hub, so every page, post and print piece pulls the same colours, type and rules.

After going back and forth on whether to bring in outside help, we ended up working with Justin for some AI consulting on how to structure our operations. He laid out a clear plan, didn't overcomplicate it, and we've been running smoother since. Good fit for a service business. He knows Las Vegas and he knows this stuff.

Justin joined our team a few months before opening to replace a marketing agency that wasn’t performing. He stepped up fast. Within weeks he launched a fully redesigned website with new brand guidelines, built and delivered our marketing plan and AI strategy, and helped implement our system architecture so we could open on time. Since then, he’s made several critical enhancements to the site that helped us generate revenue in our first month. His engagement was supposed to end at opening, but he became such an integral part of our leadership team that we kept him on to help evolve our marketing and tech strategy as we grow. He’s easy to work with, pushes back when it matters, and moves easily between strategy, delivery, and operations depending on what’s needed. If you’re looking for a deeply experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated marketing, AI, or technology consultant, I highly recommend Justin Harris AI Consulting.

He was straightforward about what made sense and what didn't. Ended up being a useful conversation. Knew Justin before he started building AI systems for businesses, and watching what he's put together is genuinely impressive. He built out an AI automation setup for my website in Las Vegas and it changed how we handle leads completely. The guy actually runs this stuff himself, so he knows what works.

Who headshot photography in Las Vegas is for

Professionals, teams and firms

Professionals whose clients look them up before a first call, such as attorneys, accountants, physicians, dentists and consultants. A good headshot does more work on that page than any paragraph of bio, because it tells the buyer what to expect before they book.

Owners and managers who are building a team page, and firms that have hired several people since the last set of photos. I am not the right fit for a fashion shoot or a product catalog. For those jobs, a studio with a dedicated product setup will serve you better, and I will say so on the first call.

How much does headshot photography cost

Session size sets the price

I quote a fixed price for a written scope after I know who is sitting, how many looks they need and where the photos will be used. A solo session for a bio is a different job from a team day for thirty people, so one flat rate would be wrong for at least one of them. These are the things that move the number.

GIOSTAR brand hub, a system I built
  • Number of people in the session
  • Number of looks, backgrounds and wardrobe changes
  • Session length and whether it is on location
  • Retouching depth and the number of final files
  • Rush delivery, if the photos are needed inside a set window

How long does headshot photography take

A session in the morning, files in days

A single session is usually an hour or less per person. The selects follow within a few business days, and the retouched set follows after the choices are made. The dates for the session and the files are written into the scope before the booking is confirmed.

A team day needs a schedule, and the schedule is part of the price. The session block, the buffer between people and the file delivery date are all set before anyone arrives, so the team knows when to be there and when the photos will be ready.

Team day logistics for headshot photography

One schedule for everyone on the list

A team day runs on a roster. Each person gets a time slot, a short note on what to wear and a reminder the day before. The office or studio is set up once, the light stays the same all day, and nobody has to wait in a hallway for a long time.

Plan for a short gap between sitters and a clear person on your side who can pull people from their desks on time. Late arrivals move the rest of the list, so the roster is built with a buffer, and the schedule is sent back to you for approval before the day.

Headshot photography session step by step

Five steps from booking to files

  1. Step 01

    Plan the look

A short call on the role, the uses and the look you want, then a written scope with the session time.

  2. Step 02

    Set the light

One setup for the session, tested before the first person arrives, so the look holds from the first sitter to the last.

  3. Step 03

    Shoot the session

A short warm-up, a few poses chosen for the role and a set of frames for each person.

  4. Step 04

    Choose and retouch

You choose from the selects. I retouch the chosen frames to a light, natural standard with the same color for the whole set.

  5. Step 05

    Deliver labeled files

Files for web, print and social in the sizes listed in the scope, with a short note on which file goes where.

Headshot photography usage and file ownership

Files and usage stay with the client

You receive the final files and the right to use them for the purposes listed in the scope, such as the website, the directory listings, the press kit and social profiles. I keep the raw frames for the period the scope names, then I delete them and say so in writing.

If you want to use the photos for a purpose the scope does not list, such as a paid ad campaign or a large print run, tell me before the session so the usage is written in. Usage terms are production guidance, not legal advice, so anything with a contract attached should go past your own attorney.
